    摘要: A method of manufacturing a motor case for an electric motor of an e-boosting device in which the motor case is received within an outer housing to cooperatively define a coolant jacket. The method includes forming a shell member. The method also includes overmolding a dam member to the shell member. The dam member projects from an outer surface of the shell member. The overmolding of the dam member includes forming a molded through-hole through the dam member. The dam member and the outer surface are configured to define a fluid boundary for a coolant of the coolant jacket when the motor case is received in the outer housing. The through-hole defines a passage for the coolant in the coolant jacket.

    摘要: This disclosure provides a consolidated electric motor stator lamination for multiple enclosure types such that a single stator assembly can be used for different classifications of an electric motor. Each layer of the stator lamination includes external features that, when combined with the external features of the other layers in the lamination, can be adapted to conform the electric motor to one of a plurality of enclosure types. The external features include retaining features for one or more covers, fins, and a profile configured to accept cooling tubes. In various embodiments, a single consolidated stator lamination assembly can be adapted to provide a motor having at least two of an open-drip proof (ODP), a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC), or a totally enclosed water cooled (TEWC) enclosure classification.

    摘要: A feed axis motor includes a front-side housing fixed to an end face of a stator core. The stator core is formed of a material with iron as a main component. The front-side housing is formed of a material with aluminum as a main component. The stator core and the front-side housing are coupled with each other at a welding mark generated by laser welding. The welding mark extends in a circumferential direction so as to cover a line of contact between the stator core and the front-side housing. The welding mark seals the boundary portion between the stator core and the front-side housing.

    摘要: An axial or radial flux electric motor or generator consisting of a housing, a stator assembly(s), and rotor(s) where the stator assembly and rotor are aligned with each other while allowing an air gap between the stator and rotor, with electromagnetic forces being applied between the two when the rotor rotates within the stator. Stator coils are connected by one or more conductive bus bars integrated into the motor housing where the stator coils are affixed to the bus bars to create individual stator phases. The stator assembly is enclosed within a cooling jacket where cooling channels flow a coolant media directly over the stator coils during operation. The flow of coolant is controlled by a set of permeable dividers that direct coolant over the surface area of the coil evenly.
