Abstract: A battery monitoring system includes a detector and a supervisor connected to the detector. Wherein, pluralities of sensors of the detector respectively disposed on battery cells of the battery for at least correspondingly detecting voltage and temperature signals of the battery cells. Subsequently, the aforementioned signals are transmitted to a central processor for a separate conversion into accessible and distinguishable data applied to compare with a predetermined threshold. Finally, the compared results would be shown on the supervisor for users to realize the physical state of each battery. The central processor friendly reacts to the compared result under the irregular state and emits a warning signal to the supervisor, for which to promptly carry out a warning action.

Abstract: A removable and short-circuit-avoidable lithium battery module mainly makes use of a protective device mounted between a control circuit and any two cells. Wherein, the protective device includes a base plate and a conductive surface connecting with the cell, an output tab connecting with the control circuit, and a protective unit mounted on the conductive surface and the output tab. Whereby, the conductive surface and the output tab have larger areas to respectively link the cell and the control circuit. While connecting with electricity, the cell and the control circuit would be more accurately connected. Moreover, the protective unit would become disconnected while the cell and the control circuit are fell and collided, so as to prevent the cell and the control circuit from the inaccurate connection and destruction. The present invention also facilitates to swiftly replace the protective device while it is damaged and to contribute a convenient utility.

Abstract: The invention presents a method for estimating a direct current internal resistance of a battery, which defines a depth of discharge detection interval including a first threshold and a second threshold. When the battery is discharging, a currently battery voltage are periodically measured, a currently depth of discharge is calculated, and an open-circuit voltage is queried. The currently battery voltage is subtracted from the open-circuit voltage to obtain a voltage difference. The voltage difference is continuously accumulated to obtain a currently accumulated voltage difference. The currently depth of discharge reaches the first threshold or the second threshold, the currently accumulated voltage difference is a first accumulated voltage difference or a second accumulated voltage difference. A difference value between the first accumulated voltage difference and the second accumulated voltage difference is divided by a discharging amount in the depth of discharge detection interval to obtain the direct current internal resistance.

Abstract: The invention presents a battery module, which includes a battery holder for accommodating and fixing a plurality of battery cells and a heat-sink structure. The heat-sink structure includes at least one metal plate and at least one heat conductor. The metal plate is configured in a gap between the plurality of battery cells. The heat conductor is configured on the left or right sides of the metal plate, and is an elastic member. When the metal plate is configured in the gap between the battery cells, part of the heat conductor will be compressed by the metal plate and the battery cells, and closely adhere onto the battery cells. When the battery cells are charged and discharged, heat generated by charging and discharging of the battery cells will be conducted to the metal plate through the heat conductors, and then will be taken away through the metal plate.

Abstract: A driving circuit applied to a protection switch of a battery module is disclosed. The driving circuit includes a reverse switch, a non-reverse switch, a capacitor, and a storing energy component. The reverse switch or the non-reverse switch is turned on or off by a PWM signal. When the PWM signal is at a high level, the reverse switch is turned off, the non-reverse switch is turned on, and the capacitor is charged via a battery total voltage to form a storage voltage on the capacitor. When the PWM signal is at a low level, the reverse switch is turned on, the non-reverse switch is turned off, a reference voltage is connected to the capacitor via the reverse switch to form a boosted voltage superimposed by the reference voltage and the storage voltage. Afterwards, the boosted voltage can be used to drive the protection switch to be turned on.
