    摘要： A device for adjusting the vertical position of a wick for an oil burner is disclosed which is capable of effectively and positively keeps the combustion position of the wick within a range of constantly attaining the normal combustion of the oil burner. The wick adjusting device includes a circular member fitted on a wick operating shaft and received in a slidable knob to be moved with the knob. The circular member is formed with a slot in which a pin-like projection of a gear is movably fitted and with which the projection is engaged at the minimum combustion position to prevent the knob from being further rotated in the fire-extinguishing direction during the combustion operation.

    摘要： An oil burner comprising a safeguard mechanism against a power stoppage is disclosed which is capable of carrying out a fire extinguishing operation in a complete combustion state upon a power stoppage, to thereby prevent any soot and smelly and toxic combustion product from being produced. The oil burner includes a solenoid valve mechanism having a wiring of allowing the supply of a fuel oil to an oil supply pipe to be stopped upon a power stoppage, an air damper actuated in cooperation with a mechanism for changing the flow rate of a fuel oil supplied to the oil supply pipe, a solenoid connected to the air damper which has a wiring of allowing the air damper to be opened upon a power stoppage, and an air fan rotated due to inertia force upon a power stoppage.

    摘要： A safety device for an oil burner is disclosed which is capable of detecting abnormal combustion which forms an excessively decreased flame, for example, sufficient to produce incomplete combustion gas to operate a fire-extinguishing device of the oil burner. The safety device includes an abnormal combustion sensing and actuation mechanism which is adapted to receive heat rays from the oil burner to detect the abnormal combustion and a starting member selectively actuated by the mechanism to operate the fire-extinguishing device when the mechanism detects the abnormal combustion.
