    摘要: A gas-path leakage seal for generally sealing a gas-path leakage-gap between spaced-apart first and second members of a gas turbine (such as combustor casing segments). The seal includes a cloth-layer assemblage positioned in the leakage-gap. The cloth-layer assemblage includes a metallic, woven cloth layer having a first group of generally equal-diameter warp wires and a second group of generally equal-diameter weft wires. Adjacent wires of one of the first and second groups of wires are spaced apart by a center-to-center distance equal to generally between four and ten times the diameter of the wires of the other of the first and second groups of wires.

    摘要: The gas turbine includes a combustor 10 having a transition piece 18 with its exit end spaced from a first-stage nozzle 22. A brush seal 26 seals about the space between the transition piece and first-stage nozzle. The brush seal includes a sealing cap 28 supported by one of the transition piece and the first-stage nozzle and having a portion 38 overlying the other of the transition piece and first-stage nozzle. A seal ring 30 is secured to the other of the transition piece and the first-stage nozzle and carries bristles 32 projecting therefrom for engagement with the overlying portion 38 of the sealing cap 28 to seal the gap between the transition piece and the first-stage nozzle.

    摘要: A high speed contact driver for use in an electrical circuit interrupter includes a pair of series-connected, elongate and generally opposing electrical conductors bowed in predetermined, generally opposing contours. These conductors are connected to a bridging electrical contact which is normally biased into a bridging position between a pair of stationary contacts. Pulse generating means are provided for applying a current pulse of predetermined magnitude to the electrical conductors. In response to this current pulse, these electrical conductors electromagnetically repulse each other and drive the bridging contact out of bridging position between the stationary contacts.

    摘要: A simple and safe means is provided to gain entry into the rotor hub of a wind turbine for maintenance operations within the hub. A ladder-like structure is mounted onto the rotor hub using the same bolts attaching a fixed outer race of the pitch bearing for the rotor blades. The ladder-like structure has integral with it a protective cage to the front, forming a basket. Structural elements for grasping are provided to a worker over the full path traversed from the nacelle to the entry hatch of the hub. An expanded area between rungs may be provided to facilitate entry by a service worker into the safety cage area. Lifting ears made also be formed with tubular sections integrated into the ladder-like structure.
