    摘要: An imaging system comprising a source of light movable with respect to a writing element and projectable thereon to generate an image, a focusing system is provided for focusing a light source which generates a first beam of light of a wavelength selected to be actinic with respect to the writing element. At least a portion of the first beam of light is absorbed by the writing element. The apparatus includes an automatic supply for donor sheets and receiver sheets which are supported independently to a writing platen or drum. Apparatus is provided which selectively loads and unloads the donor sheets from superposition with the receiver sheet without disturbing the registration of the receiver sheet.

    摘要: A turnbar for use in a turnover module in a printing system includes one or more air-cushioned sections and one or more friction sections. Each air-cushioned section includes holes formed in a portion of a perimeter of the turnbar. Each friction section includes a friction-inducing material disposed over or affixed to another portion of the perimeter of the turnbar. Pressurized air or gas is output through the holes to produce a cushion of air or gas between a print media and the air-cushioned section. The turnbar can include one or more pistons within the turnbar, or one or more sleeves within or around the turnbar, or a combination of pistons and sleeves, to adjust airflow through the air-cushioned section.

    摘要: A magazine is provided for receiving, containing and dispensing a plurality of film cartridges in a desired sequential order. The magazine includes a disk shaped core and a shell. The core includes a plurality of cavities for receiving the cartridges, while the shell includes first and second spaced panels and supports the core for relative rotation between the panels. The panels cover the cartridges in the cavities, but also include apertures for selectively providing access to individual cavities by controlled rotation of the core in the shell. The cavities are arranged in a spiral in the core, and the apertures are elongate radial slots dimensioned for alignment with one cavity in the spiral after another, but only one cavity at a time.
