    摘要: An automatic traction control system is provided for an electric or hybrid-electric vehicle. The automatic traction control system may be used with vehicles using two separately excited motors where the armatures of the motors are connected in series to provide differential control. The automatic traction control system monitors and compares the voltages across the armatures of the two motors. If the voltage differential exceeds a predetermined threshold, it is determined that one of the wheels is spinning and current is diverted from the motor driving the spinning wheel to the motor driving the non-spinning wheel.

    摘要: A computer to permit programming by active objects in multi-task mode, representative of systems for simulation, includes a device for real world simulation. The device includes an object simulation program for combined evolution of at least some of the active objects, including i) objects of state each containing at least one item of spatial and/or temporal and/or property data defining a current state, ii) interaction objects each containing the definition of at least one of the state objects and at least one function applicable to at least one of the state objects and defining at each point in time the simulated system topology, and iii) a simulation manager operable by sequences on a selection of interaction objects and to activate each interaction object only once for each sequence, according to an order varying in an at least partially random manner from one sequence to the other such as to apply each of the functions thereof to the actual state of each state object designated thereby for the evolution of the state thereof towards a new state.

    摘要: Pharmaceutical compositions are produced comprising as the active ingredient a compound of the formula ##STR1## or a pharmaceutically acceptable, nontoxic salt thereof or hydrate thereof, wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, or any two of the groups R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, taken together with the carbon atoms to which they are joined complete a substituted or unsubstituted carbocyclic ring, and X is a bond or an oxygen atom, is combined with a pharmaceutically acceptable, nontoxic inert diluent or carrier. Those compounds wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are not all simultaneously hydrogen are novel.When X is a bond, the compounds may be prepared by reacting an appropriately substituted 3-dyanomethylene phthalide with a base and, thereafter, if desired, converting the compound to a salt. When X is an oxygen atom, the compounds may be prepared by reacting a suitably substituted benzene derivative with an activated carbonyl group having a carbanion of the formula NC--CH--R, wherein R is a carboxylic acid ester group, and thereafter, if desired, converting the compound into a salt.
