    Abstract: An injection device for injection of set doses of medicine from a cartridge, in which syringe a dose is set by screwing a nut up along a threaded piston rod, whereby a dose setting drum, which carries on its cylindrical surface along a helix a scale of which a number corresponding to the set dose is shown in a window in the housing of the syringe, and an injection button, which is elevated over the end of the syringe, are moved axially a distance which is larger than the axial movement of the nut.     Abstract: An injection device having a housing, a dose setting member being operable to set a desired dose, a piston rod adapted to cooperate with a piston to cause a set dose to be expelled, and a mode locking member. The mode locking member is adapted to be in a first extreme position and in a second extreme position. When the mode locking member is in the first extreme position the piston rod is prevented from cooperating with the piston, and when the mode locking member is in the second extreme position the dose setting member is prevented from being operated to set a dose. The mode locking member is adapted to be in the first extreme position during dose setting and the second extreme position during injection of a set dose.

    Abstract: The invention concerns an injection device for apportioning set doses of a drug from a reservoir to a subject. The injection device comprises a dose setting member (20, 70) which is screwed out from the housing (30) to set a dose and pushed axially back to the housing (30) in order to expel the set dose. A scale drum (80) is axially and inrotatable coupled to the dose setting member (20, 70) such that the scale drum (80) is rotated up a thread (34) when the dose setting member (20, 70) is rotated to set a dose. When the dose setting member (20, 70) is pushed axially back to its initial position to inject the set dose, the scale drum (80) is released from its inrotatable connection in order to allow the scale drum (80) to rotate down the thread (34) and back to its zero position.

    Abstract: An injection device with a gearing arrangement providing a gearing ratio between axial movement of an injection button and axial movement of a piston rod. The injection device comprises a dose setting member being operable to set a dose by rotating the dose setting member relatively to a housing, about a rotational axis. During setting of a dose the gearing arrangement is prevented from rotating along with the dose setting member about the rotational axis. Thereby the space which it is necessary to accommodate to the gearing arrangement inside the housing is reduced. This provides the possibility of using this space for other purposes, such as additional electronic components, designing the injection device in a manner which is appropriate for other purposes, e.g. with a relatively flat cross section, or reducing the overall size of the injection device. According to one aspect of the invention, the gearing arrangement comprises at least one gear wheel having a rotational axis which is non-parallel to, e.g. substantially perpendicular to, the rotational axis of the dose setting member. According to another aspect of the invention, the gearing arrangement comprises a driving spindle being provided with a threaded portion having a first pitch, and the piston rod is provided with a threaded portion having a second pitch. The gearing is provided by the threaded portions.
