Abstract:
A method for browsing in a visual content such as a document or a list. The content is available on a terminal having a browsing command. Part of the content is displayed on a display of the terminal. The browsing commands enable the contents displayed on the screen to be made to scroll in the direction specified by the command introduced. The displayed part is duplicated into two identical images when one end of the content situated in the direction of movement specified by the browsing command is displayed on the means for displaying. A first image remains still and a second image moves in the direction of movement specified by the browsing command so long as the command is active. In this way, the user sees that the command has indeed been taken into account and notes visually that the end of the visual content has been reached.
Abstract:
A method is provided for sharing a media content displayed in a window of the touch input interface of a first electronic device with at least one second electronic device. The first electronic device includes a processor controlling the touch input interface. The method is carried out by the processor and includes the acts of enabling the displacement of the window responsive to the capture of a first touch input indicative of the initiation of the transfer, capturing a continuous touch input across the interface from an initial position in the window, displacing the window with each additional touch input of the continuous touch input, and sending an activation message that the media content is to be played on the second device when determining that the window is within a given distance of a virtual representation of the second electronic device on the interface.
Abstract:
A system of authorizing access to a resource including a processor obtaining sensor information related to at least two users from one or more sensors, the sensor information including one or more of image information and proximity information of each of the at least two users. Further, an act of identifying current gestures is performed for each of the at least two users in accordance with the sensor information. The current gestures may be compared with pre-stored gesture information related to predetermined gestures and an order of the predetermined gestures. Further, access to the resource may be authorized when it is determined that the current gestures are in accordance with the predetermined gestures and the order of the predetermined gestures.
Abstract:
A secure communication method including: obtaining sensor information of at least one user, the sensor information including one or more of image information or depth information; recognizing at least one gesture in accordance with the sensor information of the at least one user; determining whether each of the recognized at least one gesture is a public gesture or a private gesture in accordance with a zone where the gesture was performed, the zone being selected from a plurality of zones; and authorizing access to a resource when it is determined that the at least one gesture is determined to be the public gesture or the private gesture.
Abstract:
A method and device are provided for enabling drag and drop targets of a first object onto one of a plurality of second objects in a graphical user interface (GUI), each object being characterized by a respective size. The method includes receiving a drag input on the first object, determining one or more second objects onto which the first object may is likely to be dropped using at least the received drag input, and altering the size of the first object based on the determined one or more second objects respective sizes.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for indicating drag and drop targets for a first object among a plurality of second objects in a graphical user interface (GUI). The method includes rendering with a first rendering mode a first group of second objects within the GUI onto which a selected first object is likely to be dropped, rendering with a second rendering mode distinct from the first rendering mode a second group of second objects, the second group consisting of the remaining second objects, receiving a drag input on the first object, and updating the groups based at least upon an updated position of the first object derived from the received drag input.
Abstract:
A wireless system is provided for dynamically configuring a multimodal user interface based on user preferences to communicate with a local appliance. An appliance node is operably linked to the local appliance and configured to transmit interface format data of the local appliance for reception by the portable terminal when in the transmit vicinity of the appliance node. The portable terminal transmits an interface request therefrom in response to the reception of the interface format data. A server node is configured to receive the interface request from the portable terminal for identifying a user interface for use in interacting with the appliance. The server node transmits the identified user interface or the information for generating user interface to the portable terminal and the portable terminal presents the user interface or generates the user interface based on provided information to a user via a display of the portable terminal wherein the user may interact with the appliance in accordance with the identified user interface.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for characterizing in accordance with at least a descriptor, the timbre of a time-variable sound signal (s(t) for a duration D, which consists in defining said descriptor by the harmonic spectral scope of the signal.
Abstract:
A method of classifying data in a descending hierarchy, in which each datum is associated with particular initial values for attributes that are common to the data, the method comprising recursive steps of subdividing data sets. During each step of subdividing a set, discrete attribute values are calculated from the particular initial attribute values of the data of said set, and said set is subdivided into subsets as a function of the discrete values.
