摘要： A data processing apparatus and a data erasing method therefor which are capable of suppressing the capacity of a backup power supply to be used (operating time) and eliminating the disadvantage that a third party steals a look at data to thereby improve security. Data is input, and predetermined processing is performed on the input data. The data is stored in a nonvolatile memory such as a HD. A first voltage supply unit supplies voltage to the memory, and a second voltage unit supplies voltage to the memory when the first voltage supply unit is incapable of supplying voltage to the memory. When the first voltage supply unit becomes incapable of supplying voltage to the memory, the memory is controlled to erase the data stored therein using a selected one of a plurality of erasing processes depending on the status of processing of the data.

摘要： A print system which are capable of inhibiting simultaneous use of the encrypted print and the box storage to thereby increase the security of print data. A host computer has an encryption function of encrypting print data, and issues a print job for the print data encrypted by the encryption function. A print server receives the issued print job, and has a decryption function of decrypting the encrypted print data of the received print job. A printer has a storage function of storing the print data decrypted by the decryption function, and outputs the stored print data. At least one of the host computer and the print server inhibits simultaneous use of the encryption function and the storage function.

摘要： A more-natural-looking video is reproduced and a video data having a desired color tone is formed by preserving the tone of a video as an original in color conversion at a desired ratio. To this end, a criterion color register stores color information (hue, chroma and density) for determining whether input pixel data is eligible for conversion, a target color register stores color information indicative of a target color, and a preservation degree register stores a preservation degree that determines the degree of preservation in color conversion. A color determination section determines whether the input pixel data is eligible for conversion, and the determination result is output to a color converter section. The color converter section performs color conversion to eligible pixel data according to the information stored in the criterion color register, target color register and preservation degree register, with the result of the color conversion being output.

摘要： An image processing apparatus prevents the misdetermination of a read color and allows correct marker edition. A marker registration circuit reads and register color data marked by a predetermined color marker and a color determination circuit compares the color data registered and the read color data at the reading of the document sheet to determine a color code of the marker color. An area determination circuit determines whether an area being read belongs to a normal area, a line area or a paint area and an output color determination circuit determines a color to be outputted in accordance with the color code and the area being read.

摘要： The present invention improves security of image data when communication between an image managing apparatus that stores the image data of a submitted job and an image processing apparatus is not possible. To accomplish this, for executing a specific process according to a submitted job, the image data and log information of the job is transmitted to the image managing apparatus to store them when the image processing apparatus can communicate with the image managing apparatus. After transmission of the image data and the log information, upon receiving a notification indicating the completion of storage from the image managing apparatus, control is made to execute a specific process on the image data.
