Abstract:
The present invention contemplates a delivery control valve arrangement adapted for use in a refrigerant gas compressor of double-acting swash plate type in which its delivery capacity can be varied automatically by placing the compression chambers on one side of the compressor under "loaded" and "unloaded" conditions alternately in response to the cooling load. The valve arrangement includes valve means for establishing fluid communication passages for selective application of discharge and suction pressures of the compressor to a plunger movable between two positions corresponding to the loaded and unloaded conditions, respectively, and actuator means operable in response to evaporator-suction or suction-atmosphere pressure differential for actuating the above valves.
Abstract:
A swash plate type compressor with a malfunction detector, the detector comprising a detected unit embedded in part of the outer periphery of the swash plate of the compressor and a detecting unit fixedly mounted on part of the combined cylinder block of the compressor. The detected unit has a thermosensor and a permanent magnet embedded inwardly from the thermosensor. The detecting unit has a fixed magnetic member and an electric coil wound around the magnetic member.
Abstract:
A magnetic characteristics measurement system includes a superconducting quantum interference device which detects a magnetization of a sample located in the vicinity of a superconducting pickup coil and outputs an electrical signal representing the magnetization. A coil is disposed to surround the superconducting pickup coil and is connected to an AC power supply so as to generate an alternating magnetic field. The AC signal output from the superconducting quantum interference device is sampled by use of an A/D converter which is operable in an audio frequency range and outputs a digital signal corresponding to the AC signal. Phase adjustment is performed so as to optimally correct a time shift of the digital signal in relation to a reference voltage signal. The phase-adjusted signal is subjected to Fourier transformation processing so as to detect harmonic components as magnetic characteristics.
Abstract:
A waveguide and an attenuation pole waveguide bandpass filter with a simple structure without any additional structure such as a negative cross coupling between resonators. The attenuation pole waveguide bandpass filter arranged at right angle to the longitudinal direction (radio wave propagation direction) is composed only of conductors. The conductor comprises depressions each opening outwardly and having a non-conducting region which continues from the inside of the opening section to the outside, and a window in the conductor section between these opposed depressions. In an alternative embodiment, such conductor shall be covered by a dielectric such as a resin.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an automatic power restoring method capable of reliably detecting continuity by the dissolution of a line fault, to restore the optical power, even in a structure including an optical amplification medium on an optical transmission path and an optical communication system using the method. To this end, in an optical communication system to which the automatic power restoring method of the invention is applied, a pilot signal having a low transmission rate, a wavelength of which is set based on loss wavelength characteristics obtained by combining loss wavelength characteristics of an optical fiber used for the optical transmission path and loss wavelength characteristics of the optical amplification medium on the optical transmission path, is transmitted and received between an optical transmitting station and an optical receiving station when a line fault occurs, and a detection of continuity is thus performed. According to the result of the continuity detection, the power state at the occurrence of line fault is automatically restored to the power state at a time of normal operation.

A closed refrigerating circuit for car air conditioning includes a compressor, a condenser, a refrigerant receiver, an expansion valve, and an evaporator. The expansion valve is provided with a constant pressure controlling mechanism for maintaining a pressure in the evaporator at a constant value. The compressor is provided with a continuously variable displacement mechanism for maintaining a superheating temperature of suction refrigerant at a constant value.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for guiding a paper toward a transfer region disposed in the vicinity of a sensitive member. A lower guide comprises at least two elastic members, the at least two elastic members being adapted to change elastic modulus depending upon a rigidity of the paper being conveyed toward the sensitive member, whereby the paper can be guided toward the sensitive member under the best condition, regardless of the quality of the paper.
