Abstract: A cable connector assembly includes a circuit board, a plurality of grounding elements and a plurality of cables. Rear ends of an upper surface and a lower surface of the circuit board are equipped with a plurality of contact pads and a plurality of grounding pads. The plurality of grounding elements are soldered to the plurality of the grounding pads. Two sides of each grounding element have two clamping portions. Each cable includes an inner conductor, an inner insulating layer, a shielding layer and an outer insulating layer arranged in an inside-to-outside direction. The inner conductors of the plurality of the cables are electrically connected with the plurality of the contact pads, the shielding layer of each cable is mounted in one grounding element. The shielding layer of each cable is clamped between the two clamping portions of the one grounding element.

Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for maximizing the generation of large-scale renewable energy (LSRE) by pressure-enhanced osmosis (PEO) and synergistic effects, in which a PEO module is designed by increasing the maximum power generation by increase of the dilution factor β to enhance a power output beyond ten times of the conventional PRO method, and even more power can be generated by the PEO method by incorporation with synergistic effects to form two types of PEO systems: (1) a surficial PEO system, in which the synergistic effects are achieved through combined effects of FO and nanofiltration (NF) or ultrafiltration (UF), and application of an energy exchange and fluid recovery device for re-concentration and reuse of the draw solution, (2) a subsurface PEO system, synergistic effects are achieved through application of the gravitational potential, application of waste heat from power generation, and application of an uplift chamber.

Abstract: A modified ink cup for plate printing is presented, where the ink cup is separated internally into two domains, a storage area and a print area, by a baffle system. The baffling allows only a limited amount of exposure of the ink in the ink cup to the outside air, reducing evaporation of the ink solvent and extending the life of the ink supply in the cup. This system greatly reduces the number of times an ink cup has to be re-filled to perform plate printing and limits the evaporation of possibly toxic solvents to the air.

Abstract: The invention presented is a pad printing blanket that reduces damage to pad printing heads. The industry-standard pad printing head is soft plastic, silicone or urethane. The pad is used to print designs on three-dimensional surfaces and the pad must be pressed firmly onto said surfaces. This pressure leaves permanent indentations on the print pad surface, eventually rendering the print pad useless for printing. The invention covers said print pad with a blanket of soft plastic which carries the ink for the image. Only the pad blanket contacts the printable surface, protecting the print pad and reducing the need for expensive print pad replacement.
