Abstract:
The present application is directed to methods and devices for remanufacturing imaging cartridges. An installation handle for positioning an electronic circuit on the imaging cartridge includes a first end, and an adhesive is releasably attached to the first end. The installation handle is adapted for positioning an electronic circuit on a surface of the imaging cartridge while the electronic circuit is releasably secured to the installation handle by the adhesive.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of remanufacturing an imaging cartridge including the replacement an organic photo conductor (OPC) drum in the imaging cartridge having end caps which are fixedly secured to the waste bin or other portion of the toner cartridge. In one aspect, the method involves removing the existing OPC drum without detaching the end caps and installing a replacement OPC drum without disturbing the end caps.
Abstract:
A radiation detector includes a housing, a crystal and a photomultiplier tube supported in the housing. A plurality of elongated, flat plastic or ceramic springs are located radially between the crystal and photomultiplier tube and the housing, and at least one additional spring is located at one end of the crystal.
Abstract:
A radiation detector includes a housing, an elongated, rectangular crystal having four longitudinally extending corners, and a photomultiplier tube both supported in the housing, with a light pipe located axially between respective facing ends of the photomultiplier tube and the crystal; and a plurality of elongated rails extending along respective ones of the longitudinally extending corners of the rectangular crystal, establishing an air gap between the crystal and the housing.
Abstract:
A system for planting cover crop seeds in fields with standing row crops. A high-clearance agricultural vehicle is provided with a high-clearance toolbar. A plurality of ground-engaging arm assemblies depend from the toolbar. The toolbar is provided with a plurality of seeders that may be provided on the arm assemblies. The arm assemblies are provided with trailing portions to which are attached soil sealers. The system travels through the field, delivering seeds between rows of standing crops. The soil sealers cover the seeds with soil.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of remanufacturing an imaging cartridge including the replacement a rotatable member, such as an organic photo conductor (OPC) drum or toner adder roller, for example, in the imaging cartridge without detaching the rotatable member retaining elements, such as end caps, for example, and installing a replacement rotatable element without disturbing the rotatable member retaining elements end caps.
Abstract:
A system is provided for counterfeiting countermeasures, the system comprising: a first authenticity indicator disposed in a print substrate coating; a second authenticity indicator disposed in a print generating matrix; a print pattern comprising the print generating matrix disposed upon the print substrate coating; a detector configured to detect the first and the second authenticity indicators in a portion of the print pattern within the field of the detector.
Abstract:
A control system for operating two magnetic tape loop bins in series with a continuous tape having an end of tape marker, including guides and drive rollers or capstans for guiding a tape from the first bin to the second bin and from the second bin past a magnetic head station to the first bin. End of tape sensors are positioned between the first and second bins and between the second and first bins to provide signals when tape markers pass the respective sensors. Each bin is provided with a tape drive motor and a motor control, with one motor being driven to provide about a constant tape tension and with the other motor being driven at a controlled speed which varies as a function of an error signal determined from the tape marker sensors.
