Abstract:
Disclosed is an image processing apparatus having a large number of image processing functions, in which resources necessary for code processing units can be suppressed while a large-scale decline in performance is prevented. The apparatus includes a plurality of code processing unit (310) for executing coding and decoding of image data, and a plurality of request-source task units (301 to 308) (print function, scanner function and FAX transceive function). The request-source task units request any ones of the plurality of code converters to perform a code conversion of image data. The number of request-source task units is greater than the number of code converters and a degree of priority has been set for each one. A code-processing acquisition determination unit (309) always assigns the plurality of code converting units to processing requests from request-source task units (301 to 304) having a high priority and, if there is an idle code converting unit among the plurality of code converting units, assigns the code converting unit to a processing request from request-source task unit (305 to 308) having a low priority.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an image processing apparatus that can make effective use of a memory area. To accomplish this, the image processing apparatus comprises storage means having a first management record storage area for storing a first management record used for management of image data and a second management record storage area for storing a second management record linked with the first management record, and acquisition means for acquiring an area for storing the first management record and the second management record in the storage means, the apparatus managing the image data using the first management record and the second management record in th storage means, the apparatus managing the image data using the first management record and the second management record, wherein the acquisition means acquires a storing area for storing the first management record in the second management record storage area, when the storing area for storing the first management record is not acquired in the first management record storage area.
Abstract:
This invention prevents repetitive storage of identical character string data, and efficiently uses a storage area. To accomplish this, a facsimile apparatus 8 has an NIC 1 as a network interface, and also has a display unit 4c as a display means for displaying an image as a user interface, a main body controller 3 including a memory as a storage means for storing character string data, a display controller 4b as an image generating means for generating an image to be displayed on the display means, by using the character string data stored in the memory, and an HTTP server as a display data generating means for generating an HTML file as display data described in a markup language by using the character string data stored in the memory, in accordance with a browsing request input via the network interface.
Abstract:
Provided is an image processing system which reduces the load of destination registration on the user. To accomplish this, in an image processing system including a PC (102) and device (101) connected to a network, the PC (102) has a transfer unit (120) which transfers identification data of the PC (102) to the device (101), and the device (101) has a scanner unit (130) which scans an image and outputs the image data, a memory (140) which stores a destination of the output image data from the scanner unit (130), a transfer unit (150) which transfers the image data to the destination stored in the memory (140), and a registration unit (170) which receives the identification data transferred by the transfer unit (120), and registers the received identification data as a destination of image data in the memory (140).
Abstract:
An image data transmission apparatus that can reliably transmit image data to an archiving destination before transmitting the image data to a set destination. A destination indicative of an archiving destination that manages image data generated by a scanner unit is set, and the image data is transmitted to the archiving destination. A destination to which the image data is to be transmitted is set, and the image data is transmitted to the destination. When the image data has been successfully transmitted to the archiving destination, the image data is transmitted to the destination.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus capable of efficiently using a removable medium when the removable medium is used instead of a memory provided in the image processing apparatus. The apparatus includes a RAM for storing image data, a removable medium I/F to which the removable medium is coupled, and a CPU. The CPU confirms the remaining capacity of the RAM and determines based on the remaining capacity confirmed during execution of a job and a job operation mode whether the job can be continued by using only the RAM. When it is determined that the job cannot be continued, image data to be saved is selected according to a predetermined priority order, and the selected image data is saved from the RAM onto the removable medium.
Abstract:
A data communication apparatus that reduces erroneous transmission, together with allowing an operator to confirm destinations registered as data transmission destinations. To accomplish this, the data communication apparatus includes a destination registering unit adapted to register at least one or more destinations, a data acquisition unit adapted to acquire data to transmit to the registered destinations, a destination list print unit adapted to print a destination list showing the registered destinations to allow an operator to confirm the registered destinations, an operation acquisition unit adapted to acquire, via an operation unit, a first operation operated by the operator if the destinations shown on the destination list are confirmed by the operator, and a transmission unit adapted to transmit, if the first operation is acquired, the acquired data to the destinations shown on the destination list.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus capable of communicating with a server connected to the apparatus via a network. When a mail message is received from a POP3 server, it is determined whether or not an error exits in the mail message. If it is determined that an error exits, unique ID of the mail message is registered. If a number of a mail message having the same unique ID as the registered unique ID is received, reception of the mail message is rejected.
Abstract:
