摘要: An apparatus for entraining a powder in a process fluid is provided. The apparatus (2′) has a process passage (22) having a passage inlet (24) connectable to a source of process fluid, and a passage outlet (26). A nozzle (30) opens into the process passage (22) intermediate the passage inlet (24) and passage outlet (26). The nozzle (30) has a nozzle inlet (32), a nozzle outlet (36) and a nozzle throat (34) intermediate the nozzle inlet (32) and nozzle outlet (36), where the nozzle throat (34) has a cross sectional area which is less than that of the nozzle inlet (32) and nozzle outlet (36). At least one first port (42′) opens into the process passage (22) adjacent the nozzle outlet (36), and an entrainment fluid supply chamber (38) is in fluid communication with the nozzle 30. A first powder supply chamber (44′) is connected to the first port (42′) by a first powder supply passage (46), wherein the powder supply chamber (44′), powder supply passage (46) and first port (42′) are coaxial. A system and method of entraining a powder in a process fluid are also provided.

摘要: A brewing vessel (250) is provided for processing a brewing composition made up of a number of ingredients. The vessel (250) has a base (252) and contains at least one fluid processor (10) which, in use, lies below the surface level of the composition within the vessel (250). The at least one processor (10) comprises a substantially straight passage (14) having a passage inlet (16) adapted to receive the composition from within the vessel (250), and a passage outlet (18) adapted to dispatch the composition back into the vessel (250). The cross sectional area of the passage (14) does not reduce below the cross sectional area of the passage inlet (16). The processor (10) further comprises a driving fluid nozzle (34) substantially circumscribing the passage (14) and having a nozzle inlet (36) adapted to receive a supply of a driving fluid, a nozzle outlet (40) opening into the passage (14) intermediate the passage inlet (16) and passage outlet (18), and a nozzle throat (38) intermediate the nozzle inlet (36) and nozzle outlet (40), the nozzle throat (38) having a cross sectional area which is less than that of both the nozzle inlet (36) and nozzle outlet (40).

摘要: The inventive system and method for enabling interactive collaboration among video surveillance operators is presented. The device has a message including an incident or meta data having a source identifier, a meta data composer, a transport layer, and a display device, such that the message is packaged using the meta data composer and transmitted using the transport layer to the display device. One embodiment facilitates sharing using a common console, and the other facilitates sharing to one or more operators; both embodiments use a common Meta Data messaging mechanism. Meta data refers to any surveillance related data that is worthy of sharing between operators. It includes, but is not necessarily limited to, salvo information, camera, incident related data, video device location details, etc.

摘要: This invention relates to using consumer devices, such as mobile telephones, to identify, authenticate, locate and contact users of security and asset management systems. Such consumer devices can be used not only with the security systems but also for other uses. A device is initially registered with the security system. As needed, the device is presented to the system for authentication, enabling a person access to a secure area. In addition, the system can determine the person's location in the secure area and can send information messages to the person as well as notifying the person in case of emergency.

The method includes selecting a plurality of data collecting devices from the plurality of data collecting devices, synchronizing video data streams from the selected plurality of data collecting devices, substantially simultaneously reviewing the video data streams from the selected plurality of data collecting devices, specifying periods of interest for the video data streams from the selected plurality of data collecting devices, and sequentially combining portions of the video data streams into the coherent video data stream, the portions corresponding to the specified periods of interest.

摘要: The present invention provides systems and methods for allowing an administrator to create device profiles, and map specific device profiles to specific operators. The system comprises a surveillance device to record an event, an administrator station for receiving a data stream corresponding to the event and for assigning the data stream to a device profile based on a plurality of attributes in the metadata of the stream, and a broadcast engine for mapping the data stream alongside a plurality of data streams within the device profile to an operator station. The method comprises recording an event within a secure area via a surveillance device, generating a data stream corresponding to the recorded event, applying a plurality of attributes for the data stream, transmitting the data stream to an administrator station, assigning the data stream to a device profile based in part on the plurality of attributes for the data stream, and mapping the data stream along with a plurality of data streams within the device profile to an operator station over a network.
