Abstract: A method is provided. The method includes receiving, from a monitor interface implemented by a first computing device, input specifying a zone within a field of view of an image capture device; storing, in response to reception of the input, a record defining the zone; receiving, from the image capture device, an image acquired within the field of view by the image capture device; and rendering, via a customer interface implemented by a second computing device distinct from the first computing device, the image with a representation of the zone overlaid upon the image.

Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to computerized methods, systems and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining a plurality of regions of interest from an image of a scene for motion detection. The methods can include generating the regions of interest using image segmentation techniques and receiving user selection to designate one or more regions as motion detection zones. The methods can also automatically recommend motion detection zones. The methods can include subsequently capturing one or more images of a scene and performing motion detection in the one or more images of the scene using the designated motion detection zones.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for implementing customized intrusion zones for security monitoring. For instance, a user may provide (e.g., via a GUI) an indication of a physical space to be monitored. An electronic device may detect one or more objects and its respective location from radar data collected by a radar sensor. The electronic device may additionally detect one or more objects within image data captured via a camera. The electronic device may then analyze the radar data and the image data in order to determine that the object detected by the radar sensor includes the same object represented by the image data. As such, the electronic device may send an alert to one or more computing devices that may include the radar data and/or the image data.

Abstract: Methods and systems for connection management are disclosed. A first event associated with loading a first page in an application may be determined. The application may be associated with controlling a premises management system located at a premises. A connection may be caused to be established between the application and at least one camera associated with the premises management system based on determining the first event. A command to pause the sending of video frames via the connection may be sent to the at least one camera. A second event associated with loading a second page in the application may be determined. A command to resume the sending of video frames via the connection may be sent to the at least one camera based on determining the second event.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising an interface and a processor. The interface may be configured to receive pixel data corresponding to a monitored area. The processor may be coupled to the interface and may be configured to (i) process the pixel data arranged as video frames, (ii) perform computer vision operations to detect an object in the video frames, (iii) extract characteristics about the object detected, (iv) generate a three-dimensional (3D) map of the object utilizing the pixel data corresponding to the object, (v) determine whether the object is within a three-dimensional (3D) virtual security zone based on the 3D map of the object, and (vi) generate a trigger signal in response to all or a portion of the object being within the 3D virtual security zone. The 3D virtual security zone is generally determined by a user during a setup procedure.
