摘要： A fingernail drill has a drill bit and a tip which is capable of drilling through a thickness of a fingernail. The tip extends longitudinally outwards from an abutment integrally formed with the drill bit, and the drill cannot drill past the abutment. The distance from the abutment to a distal end of the tip is such that the drill can drill through the thickness of the fingernail but cannot damage tissue under the fingernail.

摘要： A cylinder lock having a body and a modified cam, the cylinder lock being adapted for moving an external element arranged to engage the modified cam, so that the external element slides axially on the cylinder lock body. In a preferred embodiment, the inventive cylinder lock is designed to utilize a helical cam which engages a movable external element or slider, and this design is referred to as the HC cylinder lock. When operated by rotating the appropriate key within it, the movable external element can be moved in a linear fashion along the length of the HC cylinder lock thus converting rotational motion of the key to axial motion of the external element. The external element is arranged to engage an eccentric pin formed as part of a rotating bolt which rotates on an orthogonal axis to the cylinder plug in response to said sliding motion, for the function of locking or unlocking a device. The streamlined design of the inventive HC cylinder lock enables efficient placement of a door lock within the hollow volume of a door to provide locking action.

摘要： A hair removal device having a plurality of spring-loaded tweezers mounted on a rotary head and arranged to open and close during rotation, to trap and pluck skin hair over a relatively wide area. In a preferred embodiment, the rotary head spring-loaded tweezer design is provided as a hand-held, motor-powered depilatory device having a rotor provided with a plurality of tweezers having fixed and pivotable elements mounted on either side thereof, with the pivotable elements being operated by a set of roller pairs mounted so as to engage the tweezer upper ends. As the rotary head rotates about a shaft, the tweezer upper ends pass between the roller pairs and are depressed and released in synchronous fashion, causing them to open and close. When passed over the skin, the tweezers on the rotary head operate in two-sided fashion by opening and closing over a wide area, grasping skin hair in this area and plucking it as the tweezers close, to perform the hair removal function.

摘要： A hair removal device having a plurality of springs mounted on a rotary head and arranged to open and close during rotation, to trap and pluck skin hair over a relatively wide area. In a preferred embodiment, the rotary head multi-spring design is provided as a hand-held, motor-powered depilatory device having a cup-like rotor formed with two concentric supports. A plurality of compression coil springs are mounted in in freely rotatable fashion on pins extending radially between the supports. The springs have normally open loops with spaces between them along the pin length. A cam is arranged proximate the pins such that when the rotary head rotates about a shaft, the pins slide radially between the supports in accordance with the cam shape. Radial movement of the pin forces a shoulder formed at one end against the end of the spring, compressing and closing its loops. When passed over the skin, the loops of each spring mounted on the rotary head rotate freely on the skin, reducing friction, while the loops open and close over a wide area, and skin hair in this area is grasped and plucked as the loops close, performing the hair removal function.
