摘要： A force indicating toothbrush which uses magnetic latching to hold a movable brush member against a hollow handle. When held by the hollow handle, the bristles of the brush member are pressed against the user's teeth and gums until a predetermined force is reached. The predetermined force causes unlatching of the magnetic latch and movement of the brush member relative to the hollow handle, thereby indicative the user that too much pressure has been exerted against the teeth and gums.

摘要： A self-contained package for housing, dispensing and diluting concentrated liquid with a predetermined quantity of dilution liquid prior to use. The package comprises a container for housing the concentrated liquid, a spout having a discharge orifice, and a closure. The spout aids the user in controlling the flow of liquid from the container during the dispensing cycle. The closure includes a concentrate reservoir for receiving concentrated liquid from the container and a main body portion for receiving dilution liquid after the concentrate reservoir has been filled with the concentrated liquid. The main body portion of the closure has a cross-section which is larger than the cross-section of the concentrate reservoir to facilitate easy visual sighting when the concentrate reservoir is filled. The concentrate reservoir further includes a centrally located sealing post which penetrates the discharge orifice in the spout to form a liquid tight seal whenever the closure is fully assembled onto the container.

摘要： A package comprising a paperboard carton having an open end which is closed by a hingedly connected plastic lid, the lid and the carton together forming a latch to hold the lid in its closed position prior to initial opening of the package and between dispensing cycles. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the plastic lid includes a "U" shaped channel about its periphery, the channel having a projection located on one of the innermost surfaces of the "U". The open end of the paperboard carton includes a folded over flap. Either the flap or the carton sidewall to which it is attached includes an aperture which is complementary in size and shape to the projection on the plastic lid. The lid is maintained in its closed position by entry of the projection on the "U" shaped channel of the plastic lid into the aperture in the paperboard.

摘要： A plural-chambered, gravity-activated dispensing device that incrementally dispenses two or more flowable products at a substantially constant, predetermined ratio. In one preferred embodiment of the present invention, an inner container is positioned within an outer container, each container defining a chamber adapted to contain a flowable product, and having a discharge opening therein. An empty third container is sized and positioned within the inner container to impose on the inner chamber's pouring characteristics an effect similar to that imposed on the outer chamber's pouring characteristics by the inner container to thereby achieve a substantially constant dispensing ratio between the pourable products dispensed therefrom. In another particularly preferred embodiment, the effect of the third empty container mentioned above is superimposed on the inner container's shape and position within the outer container, thereby eliminating the third empty container. Also provided are a unique pouring spout and sealing cap to be used in conjunction with dual-chambered dispensing devices of the present invention, as well as a method of making such dispensing devices.

摘要： A hanger for supporting a toilet tank chemical dispensing apparatus which attaches to the top edge of the tank and which incorporates a tilt compensating feature to accommodate non-vertical toilet tank walls. The dispenser is preferably so mounted on the inner leg of a generally U-shaped hanger which contacts the innermost surface of the toilet tank wall as to be vertically adjustable. The outer leg of the hanger contacts the outermost surface of the toilet tank wall at a pivot point. Resilient means, which direct a force between the inner leg and the inside surface of the toilet tank wall at a point above the pivot point, coact with the pivot point to produce a coupled force system. The coupled force system causes the hanger and dispenser adjustably secured thereto to rotate about the pivot point into a position in which the lowermost end of the dispenser is held adjacent the tank wall, thereby maintaining the dispenser as close to vertical as is feasible despite the tilt inherent in the toilet tank wall.

摘要： A compact case comprises a base and a cover portion. The cover portion includes a cover integrally joined to a hinge link by a flexible hinge strap. The compact case further comprises a hinge pin for rotatably attaching the hinge link of the cover portion to the base. The compact case has an initial show shade condition wherein an upper surface of the cover abuts a lower surface of the base. The cover may later be rotated 360.degree. about the hinge pin and the hinge strap to a closed condition. The cover may also have a latch adapted to engage a tab on the hinge link to irreversibly connect the tab to the latch.

摘要： A child resistant attachment for containers used for storing and dispensing potentially dangerous materials, such as medicament tablets or the like, the attachment being resistant to opening by children but readily openable by adults, particularly adults having impaired manual dexterity of their hands and/or fingers. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the attachment comprises a finish portion including thread ring with an integrally molded annular tab ring or collar generally concentric to the thread ring and a closure which is releasably secured to the thread ring by means of complementary screw threads. The tab ring or collar preferably includes a pair of resiliently deformable spring-like pushtabs containing vertical extensions which engage interlocking pawls on the innermost surface of the closure skirt when the closure is fully assembled onto the finish portion. To remove the closure, the opposed pushtabs must be depressed prior to applying unscrewing torque to the closure to disengage the pushtab extensions from the interlocking pawls on the closure. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the finish portion of the child resistant attachment of the present invention is integrally molded with the container in a ready to use configuration without the need for additional assembly or molding operations. Methods for producing the child resistant attachment and child resistant packages employing it are also disclosed.

摘要： A cosmetic product package, particularly a mascara package, including a dual wiper mechanism which virtually eliminates the messiness problems of typical mascara applicators. The dual wiper mechanism has a resilient inner wiper and a resilient outer wiper spaced apart from one another within a supporting structure forming a residual mascara chamber therebetween. The inner wiper has a relatively small opening which provides most of the doctoring of the bristles. The outer wiper has a larger opening which primarily doctors the stem. Mascara which collects in the residual chamber flows through conduits around the inner wiper back into the primary reservoir, or alternatively to a discard reservoir. A mechanism to doctor more mascara from the brush upon insertion than upon removal of the brush may also be provided.

摘要： A finger actuated dispenser for a multi-component reactant toothpaste, or other fluent materials. The dispenser preferably comprises at least two coaxial cylindrical product reservoirs wherein the uppermost end of each product reservoir communicates with the other reservoirs through generally coaxial nozzles. The lowermost end of each reservoir is equipped with a concentric piston connected rearward of its leading face to the rearward portions of the other pistons by a plurality of radially oriented spokes having knife edges on their forwardmost surfaces. The knife edges taper outwardly at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the reservoirs from the interior of the innermost reservoir toward the outermost reservoir, thereby outwardly expanding the innermost surface of the innermost reservoir wall as the pistons and knife edges are advanced upwardly relative to the product reservoirs. This increases the circumferential tension in the innermost reservoir wall and causes slitting or rupturing thereof at the points where the knife edges engage the innermost reservoir wall.
