Abstract:
A system for the distribution of temperature-sensitive products is described. The system may include one or more product trays for temperature-sensitive products. The system may include one or more mobile cabinets which includes a cabinet frame, a mobility mechanism, and at least one shelf for product trays. The system may include a conveyance system for transporting mobile cabinets from a distribution center to a point-of-sale location. The mobility mechanism can use an autonomous robot for moving mobile cabinets. The mobile cabinets are filled with product trays at the distribution center.
Abstract:
A method of allowing access to a receptacle for securing a package includes: sensing an opening and closing of the lid; activating, in response to determining the lid is sufficiently closed, the lock mechanism to transition from the unlocked state to the locked state; scanning an email message in a user's email account to identify a reference or tracking number of a second package; parsing the email message to obtain a delivery code; receiving entry of the delivery code; activating the lock mechanism based on entry of the delivery code to transition from the locked state to the unlocked state; sensing a second opening and closing of the lid; activating the lock mechanism to transition from the unlocked state to the locked state; receiving information corresponding to entry of an access code; activating the lock mechanism to transition from the locked state to the unlocked state.
Abstract:
A packaging device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The packaging device includes: a bottom plate (1); a side plate (2) fixed to a surface of the bottom plate (1), the bottom plate (1) and the side plate (2) forming a containing cavity through joint enclosure; and a supporting piece (3) in the bottom plate (1). The bottom plate (1) completely wraps the supporting piece (3). An extending direction of the supporting piece (3) is roughly parallel to the surface of the bottom plate (1). A material of the supporting piece (3) is different from that of the bottom plate (1), and a strength of the supporting piece (3) is greater than that of the bottom plate (1).
Abstract:
A storage basket used for storing and displaying food products and packages in a refrigerator or freezer unit may include a single-material first portion including a bottom wall and an upright wall that extends away from the bottom wall. The bottom wall and the upright wall are imperforate, thereby creating a solid barrier to transfer and fall-through of materials contained in the storage basket. The storage basket may also include a single-material second portion coupled to and extending from the upright wall, and the second portion may include a plurality of perforations. The plurality of perforations may permit airflow around and about the materials contained in the storage basket.
Abstract:
According to one aspect, an improved packaging apparatus having first panels oriented in a first direction and second panels oriented in a second direction. The first and second panels cooperate to define a plurality of cells into which parts can be received. At least some of the first and second panels are made from reclaimed waste material. The waste material could be a foam board, such as is used in the manufacturing of headliners for automotive vehicles.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed which are suitable for use in the manufacture of two-piece metal containers. In particular, a way of making cups from metal sheet is disclosed using a combination of stretching and drawing operations. The resulting cups have the advantage of having a base thickness that is thinner relative to the ingoing gauge of the metal sheet.
Abstract:
A container-drum structural arrangement described that comprises a cardboard cover (10) positioned on the top and a pies. dc cover (20) positioned on the base of the body of the container-drum (30), said cover (10 and 20) matching the format of the body of the container-drum (30), said cover (10) having grooves (13) for housing the fastening strip (40) that has a positive projection (131) and plastic cover (20) that has concentric channels (23), central recess (24), radiating re-entrant parts and grooves (25) arranged over the entirety of the circular projection (21) of the cover (20), said cover (20) having, on the edge of the chamfered region surface (26), raised grooves (27), longitudinal reinforcement, grooves (28) and transportation handles (29) that have, in the lower portion thereof, transverse grooves (291), with negative slope, originating from the circular projection (21), allowing the locking of the cover and facilitating the movement thereof.
Abstract:
A packaging container for a product including: a bottom tray including a base wall and a tray wall extending around the periphery of the base wall; a sleeve member supported on the bottom tray and extending along the periphery of the base wall such that the bottom tray and sleeve member together define a volume having an upper opening for accommodating the product, the sleeve member having a lower edge portion secured to the base wall by a securing arrangement; wherein the securing arrangement includes at least one aperture provided in the lower edge portion of the sleeve member, at least one clip member located along an inner face of the tray wall, the clip member including a shoulder for engaging a respective said aperture, and at least one abutment member located adjacent the clip member for abutting the lower edge portion of the sleeve member and maintaining the lower edge portion in an engaged position with the clip member.
Abstract:
A transport container made from lightweight construction boards, having a base and upright walls extending around the base. In order to manufacture the transport container in a more cost-effective, more rugged and more easily reparable manner, the walls, at their lower end, have a flap which extends along the edge of the walls and is angled in the direction of the base and which is connected to the base. Wherein an upwardly curved channel is between the angled flap and the edge, and the walls, at their upper end, have an upwardly curving beading which has a shape which corresponds to the channel at the lower end of the walls. In order to obtain improved stability, the transport container, which is constructed in a modular manner, may be provided with a concealed frame of metal tubes.
Abstract:
A display container is provided herein which includes a box portion having a base portion, spaced-apart upstanding first and second end panels, and spaced-apart upstanding first and second edge panels extending from the base portion. The first and second edge panels are located between the first and second end panels, and the first edge panel extends a lesser distance from the base portion than the first end panel and the second end panel. The display container also includes a reinforcing layer which may be formed of a material stronger in shear than the material of the box portion. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a display container may be formed which has greater strength both for product containment and stacking as compared to the prior art.
