    Abstract: A device for implementing a method for depositing a coating on a continuous fiber from a precursor of the coating in the liquid phase, includes a tubular reactor having a U-shaped section to contain the fiber and the precursor of the coating in the liquid phase, a laser source to generate a laser beam in the reactor intended to heat the surface of a segment of the fiber in the presence of the precursor of the coating in the liquid phase, and a device for making the fiber travel inside the reactor.

    Abstract: A method of chemical vapor infiltration or deposition includes forming silicon carbide in pores of a porous substrate or on a surface of a substrate, the substrate being placed in a reaction enclosure, the silicon carbide being formed from a gas phase introduced into the reaction enclosure, the gas phase including a reagent compound that is a precursor of silicon carbide and that has the following formula in which n is an integer equal to 0 or 1; m is an integer lying in the range 1 to 3; p is an integer lying in the range 0 to 2 with m+p=3; and R designates —H or —CH3; a ratio C/Si between the number of carbon atoms and the number of silicon atoms in the introduced gas phase lying in the range 2 to 3.

    Abstract: A process for densifying annular porous substrates by chemical vapour infiltration, includes providing a plurality of unit modules including a support plate on which is formed a stack of substrates, the support plate including a central gas inlet opening communicating with an internal volume formed by the central passages of the stacked substrates and gas outlet openings distributed angularly around the central opening, and a thermal mass cylinder disposed around the stack of substrates having a first end integral with the support plate and a second free end, forming stacks of unit modules in the chamber of a densification furnace, and injecting into the stacks of unit modules a gas phase including a gas precursor of a matrix material to be deposited within the porosity of the substrates.

    Abstract: Method for manufacturing a CMC, i.e. ceramic matrix composite material, part provided with at least one cutout, as well as to such a CMC part provided with at least one cutout, the method comprising the following steps: providing (E1) a fibrous reinforcement (10), forming (E2′) a cavity in a portion of the fibrous reinforcement (10), injecting (E3) a slip comprising at least a ceramic powder and a solvent, the slip being injected so as to impregnate the fibrous reinforcement (10′) and to fill the cavity of the fibrous reinforcement (10′), drying (E4) the obtained assembly, carrying out a densification (E6) by infiltration of a liquid densification material and solidification of said densification material, machining (E7) at least one cutout in the obtained blank (30) within the volume corresponding to the cavity of the fibrous reinforcement (10).
