Abstract: A process for manufacturing a friction component made of composite material, includes the densification of a fibrous preform of carbon yarns by a matrix including at least pyrocarbon and at least one ZrOxCy phase, where 1≤x≤2 and 0≤y≤1, the matrix being formed by chemical vapor infiltration at least from a first gaseous precursor of pyrocarbon and a second gaseous precursor including zirconium, the second precursor being an alcohol or a C1 to C6 polyalcohol modified by linking the oxygen atom of at least one alcohol function to a group of formula —Zr—R3, the substituents R being identical or different, and R being selected from: —H, C1 to C5 carbon chains and halogen atoms.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a part made of composite material with a matrix at least predominantly made of ceramic includes producing a fibrous structure by three-dimensional or multilayer weaving; shaping the fibrous structure to form a fibrous preform core; depositing an interphase on the fibers of the preform core; consolidating the preform core by partial densification of the core including the formation of a matrix phase by chemical vapor infiltration or by a liquid process; depositing a powder of ceramic particles in the porosity of the preform core; draping one or more layers of pre-impregnated non-woven fibers over all or part of the outer surface of the preform core; heat treatment of the preform core and of the pre-impregnated layer(s) to form a hybrid fibrous preform; further densifying by infiltration of the hybrid fibrous preform with an infiltration composition containing at least silicon to obtain a ceramic matrix composite part.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a composite part includes introducing an adhesion promoter into the pores of a fibrous preform formed by threads covered with a coating having —OH groups on its surface, the adhesion promoter including an electron-withdrawing group G1 that is reactive according to a reaction of substitution or of nucleophilic addition with the —OH groups, and a reactive group G2; grafting the adhesion promoter to the surface of the coating by a reaction of substitution or nucleophilic addition of the —OH groups on the group G1; introducing a ceramic precursor resin into the pores of the fibrous preform; polymerizing the resin introduced and bonding the grafted adhesion promoter to the resin by chemical reaction between these two compounds at the level of the group G2, and forming a ceramic matrix phase in the pores of the fibrous preform by pyrolysis of the polymerized resin.
