Abstract:
A protective device is disclosed for combination with an electrical switching device including a main current line or for integration in such a switching device. In at least one embodiment, the protective device includes a switching element and a switching apparatus, which is provided for the actuation of the switching element and is influenced by a current flow through the main current line. In at least one embodiment, in order to influence the switching apparatus, a current transformer is integrated in the main current line and an electrical resistance of a secondary winding surrounded by the current transformer can be measured. A method for operating a protective device is also disclosed wherein the switching apparatus is triggered so as to actuate the switching element if the measured resistance reaches or exceeds a predetermined or predeterminable threshold value.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an antistatic agent of the formula (I) R—SO3NR′R″R′″R″″ (I) wherein R represents a perfluorinated cyclic or linear, branched or unbranched carbon chain having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, R′ represents a cyclic or linear, branched or unbranched carbon chain having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, which is unsubstituted or substituted with halogen, hydroxy, cycloalkyl or alkyl, and R″, R′″, R″″ independently represent a cyclic or linear, branched or unbranched carbon chain having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, which is unsubstituted or substituted with halogen, hydroxy, cycloalkyl or alkyl, with the proviso that at least one of the radicals R′, R″, R′″ and R″″ must not represent ethyl. The antistatic agent of the present invention may be incorporated in plastic molding materials to provide antistatic properties thereto.
Abstract:
A simple and low-cost electronic function relay is specified, for example an overload relay with a bistable printed circuit board relay module. The relay includes an engagement point for mechanical operation. The relay further includes a separate reset mechanism, which can be coupled to the printed circuit board relay module, and a switching lever, which corresponds with the engagement point, for manual resetting of the printed circuit board relay module to a switched-on position.
Abstract:
A method of using oligocarbonates having terminal groups containing iodine to prepare molded articles (e.g., toys and medical equipment) having high X-ray contrast is described. The oligocarbonates contain more thaan one diol unit, and have a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of less than 3000.
