Abstract: Disclosed is a synthetic T cell receptor (TCR) having antigenic specificity for an HLA-A2-restricted epitope of thyroglobulin (TG), TG470-478. Related polypeptides and proteins, as well as related nucleic acids, recombinant expression vectors, host cells, and populations of cells are also provided. Antibodies, or an antigen binding portion thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions relating to the TCRs of the invention are also provided. Also disclosed are methods of detecting the presence of cancer in a mammal and methods of treating or preventing cancer in a mammal.

Thus, the present disclosure provides novel vaccines to protect cattle from R. microplus infestation.

Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus related to a multijunction solar cell. The apparatus comprises a first sub-solar cell, a second sub-solar cell in series with the first sub-solar cell and one or more quantum wells. At least some of the quantum wells are disposed in a region of the first sub-solar cell, and have a thickness and a bandgap sized such that a bandgap in selected quantum wells are less than a bandgap of a material of the first sub-solar cell and greater than a bandgap of a material of the second sub-solar cell resulting in radiative coupling between the first sub-solar cell and the second sub-solar cell.

Abstract: Biomarkers tests which can be used to predict a positive or negative risk of preeclampsia are described. More specifically, a panel of biomarkers including MMP-7 and gpIIbIIIa, described. The test is useful to predict preeclampsia when a biological sample is obtained between the 16th and 22nd week of pregnancy. Prediction later in pregnancy can be achieved by a combination of Siglec-6, Activin A, ALCAM, and/or FCN2.

Abstract: Vaccines that elicit broadly protective anti-influenza antibodies. Some vaccines comprise nanoparticles that display HA trimers from influenza virus on their surface. The nanoparticles are fusion proteins comprising a monomeric subunit (e.g., ferritin) joined to the stem region of an influenza HA protein. The fusion proteins self-assemble to form the HA-displaying nanoparticles. The vaccines comprise only the stem region of an influenza HA protein joined to a trimerization domain. Also provided are fusion proteins, and nucleic acid molecules encoding such proteins, and assays using nanoparticles of the invention to detect anti-influenza antibodies.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of examining fetal hearts includes obtaining ultrasound data of a fetal heart to generate fetal heart images, displaying different marked sample images of a fetal heart and at respective cardiac phases, each marking a different feature of a fetal heart at a respective marked location, and sequentially presenting one of the different marked sample images to a user along with one of the fetal heart images that is a similar view. As each of the different marked sample images is sequentially presented, a user is prompted to mark the different feature in a respective fetal heart image based on its marked location to create a plurality of marked fetal heart images, and a geometric model of the heart is generated based on the marked fetal heart images, from which fetal echocardiography views can be extracted. The fetal echocardiography views of the fetal heart are displayed.

Abstract: An example method to characterize an anomaly includes obtaining information about an item using a first mode scan and detecting whether the item contains an anomaly based on the information. The method further includes determining, responsive to detecting the anomaly, an area of interest of the item corresponding to a location of the anomaly, and determining a strategy including a procedure to obtain other information of the area of interest. The method refines a characterization of the anomaly based on the other information, and compares the characterization of the anomaly to a predetermined criterion. The method iteratively revises the strategy to perform additional available procedures, to further refine the characterization of the anomaly. When the characterization of the anomaly meets the predetermined criterion corresponding to a prohibited item, the method identifies the anomaly as prohibited.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments include buried electrodes that allow for bottom electrode integration with photonic devices, while retaining the ability to perform the high-temperature processing steps used in low-loss photonic elements. In addition to functionality in the case of buried heaters for thermal tuning of devices, the same or similar techniques can be applied to other tuning mechanisms, based on the electro-optical effect and (piezoelectrically-mediated) stress-optical effect.
