Abstract: Facilitating device contexts, operational modes, and policy driven enhancements for paging in advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, 6G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a network device can comprise analyzing a group of contextual data for a user equipment device, and mobility management behaviors historically implemented for the user equipment device and based on an indication that a page request is scheduled to be sent to the user equipment device. The operations can also comprise configuring a paging message for the user equipment device based on the contextual data and the mobility management behaviors. Further, the operations can comprise sending the paging message to the user equipment device.

One of an uplink user data packet comprising an origination address of a second interface of the user plane, a downlink user data packet comprising a destination address of the second interface of the user plane or both are received, by way of the user plane. One of the default downlink forwarding address, the currently used downlink forwarding address or both can be modified based on the uplink origination address, the destination address or both. Modification of the default downlink forwarding address, the currently used downlink forwarding address or both results in a redirection of an associated packet flow within the user plane. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Dynamically switching between broadcast and unicast services for service continuity between wireless networks is presented herein. A system can comprise a detection component configured to determine that a mobile device is receiving a broadcast transmission of broadcast data from a broadcast enabled access point device configured to send, via a broadcast service wireless coverage area, the broadcast data to multiple devices via a point-to-multipoint communication protocol. Further, the detection component can detect a movement of the mobile device from the broadcast service wireless coverage area to a unicast service wireless coverage area. A transfer component can initiate, in response to the detection, a unicast transmission of the broadcast data from a unicast enabled access point device to the mobile device—the unicast enabled access point device configured to send, via the unicast service wireless coverage area, the broadcast data to a single device via a point-to-point communication protocol.

Abstract: A subscriber management system for maintaining active communication sessions during subscriber maintenance activities is provided. The system can delay detaching mobile devices from the mobile network when there are active communication sessions that are associated with subscriber management maintenance activities or customer care activities in order to avoid disrupting the subscriber experience. The system can delay deleting the subscriber information until the active sessions have ended, which will allow the customer care activities to continue uninterrupted. In an embodiment, the subscriber management system can determine whether to detach the active communication session based on the priority of the session, such as whether it is real-time, or with a customer care element of the mobile network.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards selectively steering wireless network data packet traffic to a network edge cloud, which reduces backhaul bandwidth and facilitates ultra-low latency communications. In one aspect, upon receiving a request for data communication by a user equipment in the wireless network, location information is used to override a centralized access point name (e.g., 4G serving gateway/packet gateway, S/PGW, or 5G user plane function) with an edge-located access point name (edge 4G S/PGW or edge 5G user plane function). This facilitates the data communication between the user equipment and an edge-located access point device associated with the edge-located access point name.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a compatibility of the mobile station with a 3GPP IMS architecture. In response to determining that the mobile station is compatible with the 3GPP IMS architecture, a transfer is facilitated of the machine-type communication message to the mobile station via a network element of an IMS network core. In response to determining that the mobile station is not compatible with the 3GPP IMS architecture a forwarding is facilitated of the machine-type communication message to a machine-type communication interworking function associated with the mobile station, wherein the machine-type communication interworking function facilitates a directing of the machine-type communication message to the mobile station via an SGs interface of a mobility management entity of an evolved packet core of a 3GPP long term evolution network. Other embodiments are disclosed.
