摘要： In one aspect, a method for realizing a presence service with a buddy list that can be displayed on a display device of a terminal is provided. In an activated state, the buddy list itself is displayed, and in a deactivated state, the buddy list itself is not visible. The buddy list is updated by a control device during a change in state of at lest one subscriber to be monitored and/or of at least one device assigned to the subscriber. According to the invention, the updating of the buddy list ensues in the deactivated state by means of the control device while using a method other than one used in the activated state.

摘要： There is described a localization system with a mobile position data transmitter having a position-detecting device for detecting a position of the position data transmitter and for deriving position data from the position detected. The position data transmitter also has a radio tag writing device for wirelessly emitting the derived position data with a write signal for writing to radio tags. The localization system also has radio tags which are to be spatially distributed and each have a memory for storing an item of localization information which is taken from the position data received with the write signal. A radio tag reading device is used to retrieve and output the stored read information from the radio tags that are situated in the retrieval range.

摘要： There is described a system for switching from an established media path to a new media path for packets transmitted between first and second end points in a packet based network. An instruction is transmitted to the first end point instructing it to set up a new receiving channel for receiving packets transmitted from the second end point over the new media path. An instruction is transmitted to the second end point instructing it to configure a sending channel to send packets over the new media path for reception on the new receiving channel of the first end point. For a time period during the switching, the first end point monitors for packets simultaneously on both its new receiving channel and an established receiving channel configured to receive packets transmitted from the second end point over the established media path. This systems helps ensure a seamless switchover from the established to the new media paths.

摘要： In order to operate a communication terminal for packet-oriented data transmission, at least one piece of status information is stored, for a communication terminal, in a memory unit associated with the communication terminal. Said status information is provided with a digital signature that is calculated from the status information by means of a private key for an asymmetrical encoding method associated with a first control unit associated with the communication terminal, for the resolution and/or conversion of network addresses. If the first control unit fails, a request is transmitted comprising the status information and the digital signature to associate the communication terminal with at least one second control unit, and the digital signature is checked. In the event of a positive check result, the communication terminal is associated with the second control unit.

摘要： There is described a system for switching from an established media path to a new media path for packets transmitted between first and second end points in a packet based network. The executable validity program comprises a deletion routine for deleting the document or partial document with the assigned validity indication in the electronic document folder.
