Abstract:
A pre-polymerized catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins endowed with high activity and morphological stability comprises a non-stereospecific solid catalyst component containing Ti, Mg and a halogen, and an amount of an ethylene/alpha-olefin block (co)polymer ranging from 0.1 up to 5 g per g of said solid catalyst component, said prepolymerized catalyst component being characterized by a mercury porosity, due to pores having radius up to 1 μm, ranging from 0.15 to 0.5 cm3/g and by the fact that at least 55% of said porosity is due to pores having pore radius up to 0.2 μm.
Abstract:
A Ziegler-Natta catalyst component precursor made from or containing a mechanical mixture of (a) distinct particles of adducts of formula MgCl2(R1OH)n where R is a C1-C8 alkyl group and n is from 0.2 to 6 having average particle size (P50a) ranging from 5 to 100 μm; and (b) from 0.2 to 5.0% by weight of distinct particles of a solid compound containing more than 50% by weight of Sift units and having average particle size (P50b), wherein the ratio P50b/P50a ranges from 0.4 to 1.5.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of a solid catalyst component made from or containing a Ti compound, a coloring agent and optionally an electron donor on a Mg chloride based support, including step (a), carried out at a temperature ranging from 0 to 150° C., wherein (i) a Mg-based compound of formula (MgClmX2-m).nLB, wherein m ranges from 0 to 2, n ranges from 0 to 6, X is, independently halogen, R1, OR1, —OCOR1 or O—C(O)—OR1 group, wherein R1 is a C1-C20 hydrocarbon group and LB is a Lewis base, is reacted with (ii) a liquid medium made from or containing a Ti compound having at least a Ti—Cl bond in an amount such that the Ti/Mg molar ratio is greater than 3; and an organic coloring agent is present either associated to the Mg-based compound or dispersed in the liquid medium made from or containing the titanium compound.
Abstract:
A method of depolymerizing plastics using a halloysite catalyst is described herein. The method reduces the energy required for the depolymerization process while achieving improved depolymerization results.
