Abstract: Aqueous surfactant compositions containing one or more alpha-sulfo fatty acid disalts (A) of the general formula (I), R1CH(SO3M1)COOM2  (I), in which the radical R1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical with 6 to 18 carbon atoms and the radicals M1 and M2, independently of one another, are selected from the group H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium and alkanolamines, one or more N-acylglutamic acid compounds (B) of the general formula (II), M3OOC—CH2—CH2—CH(NH—CO—R2)—COOM4  (II) in which the radical R2 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical with 7 to 19 carbon atoms and the radicals M3 and M4, independently of one another, are selected from the group H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium and alkanolamines, and water, with specific limiting conditions, are disclosed. The compositions are transparent, storage-stable, exhibit good foaming ability, and are suitable for cosmetic products, detergents, and cleaners.

Abstract: Aqueous surfactant compositions comprising one or more alpha-sulfo fatty acid disalt (A) of general formula (I) R1CH(SO3M1)COOM2  (I), in which the radical R1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 18 carbon atoms and the radicals M1 and M2, independently of each other, are selected from H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium, and alkanolamine, one or more sulfosuccinate (B) of general formula (II) R31—O—CO—CH(SO3M16)-CH2—COOM17  (II) wherein the radical R31 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 22 carbon atoms or an alkoxylated linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 22 carbon atoms and the radicals M16 and M17, independently of each other, are selected from the group comprising H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium and alkanolamines, and water. The compositions have good foaming ability, good skin compatibility, and a pleasant sensory feel to the foam, and are suitable for cosmetic products detergents, and cleaners.

Abstract: Compositions containing one or more alkyl lactate sulfate (A) of the general formula (I), R1(OCOCH(CH3))nOSO3M1  (I) in which the radical R1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, the index n is a number in the range from 1 to 5, and the radical M1 is selected from H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium, and alkanolamine, one or more compound (B) selected from phosphoric acid and the mono-, di- and tri-salts thereof, wherein the cation of these salts is selected from Li, Na, K, Ca, Mg, ammonium, and alkanolamine, one or more compound (C) selected from citric acid and the mono-, di- and tri-salts thereof, wherein the cation of these salts is selected from Li, Na, K, Ca, Mg, ammonium, and alkanolamine, and water where the following provisos apply: the weight ratio of the sum total of the compounds (B) and (C) to the sum total of the compound (A) is in the range from 1:5 to 1:10. the weight ratio of the sum total of the compound (B) to the sum total of the compound (C) is in the range from 1:1.2 to 1:3. the pH of the compositions is in the range from 4.5 to 7.5.

The compositions are transparent, storage-stable, characterized by good foaming ability and good viscosity, and are suitable for cosmetic products and also detergents and cleaners.
