Abstract: An illustrative stent may comprise an elongated tubular member having a longitudinal axis, the elongated tubular member comprising at least one knitted filament forming a plurality of twisted knit stitches with intermediate rung portions extending circumferentially between radially adjacent twisted knit stitches. Each twisted knit stitch may be interconnected with a longitudinally adjacent twisted knit stitch forming a series of linked stitches. The elongated tubular member may be configured to move between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, wherein in the collapsed configuration the series of linked stitches form longitudinal columns and in the expanded configuration the series of linked stitches extend helically around the elongated tubular member.

Abstract: The present disclosure, in its various aspects, is directed to expandable guide devices, implementation methods, and related delivery systems. Embodiments according to the present disclosure, including as described herein, may increase the effectiveness and efficiency of endoscopy procedures. In one example, an embodiment includes an expandable guide device, the device configured to slidingly receive an instrument through an instrument lumen of the device. An internal expandable member is disposed within the body and expandable radially from the inward-facing surface of the body, and an external expandable member is disposed about the body and expandable radially from the outward-facing surface. In some embodiments, the external and internal expandable members are balloons and comprise a compliant and a non-compliant material, respectively.

Abstract: A device for occluding flow of materials is formed as a simple structure permitting a compact delivery configuration which may shift to an expanded deployment configuration. The device has at least one expandable portion formed of a plurality of elongated longitudinally extending frame elements. The frame elements may be spaced apart to define spaces therebetween, and a flexible occlusive material may be provided to block flow of material through such spaces. A flexible occlusive material may form one of two expandable portions of the device without the need for frame elements.

Abstract: An endoprosthesis includes an elongated tubular member including a filament forming circumferential rows having a plurality of knitted loops and intermediate rungs extending between adjacent knitted loops. The tubular member includes at least one window and may include a plurality of anti-migration loops adjacent the at least one window and configured to shift between first and second positions when unconstrained. Making the endoprosthesis includes forming the plurality of knitted loops and intermediate rungs in a first row of loops and rungs, extending the filament to form a second row of loops and rungs interwoven with the first row, and forming the at least one window without cutting the filament. Placing the endoprosthesis includes positioning the endoprosthesis within a body lumen adjacent a branch lumen, expanding the tubular member to span the branch lumen, and shifting at least some anti-migration loops toward the second position and into the branch lumen.

Abstract: An esophageal stent may include an expandable framework having a first end, a second end, and a central longitudinal axis extending from the first end to the second end, the expandable framework being configured to expand from a radially collapsed configuration to a radially expanded configuration, and a polymeric outer sleeve disposed radially outward of and spaced apart from a body region of the expandable framework. The expandable framework may include a plurality of anti-migration supports extending radially outward from the body region of the expandable framework toward the polymeric outer sleeve.

Abstract: An illustrative stent includes an elongated tubular member comprising at least one strut or filament forming a tubular wall having a plurality of cells extending through a thickness of the tubular wall. The elongated tubular member may be configured to move between a radially collapsed configuration and a radially expanded configuration. A coating is disposed on the elongated tubular member and spanning the plurality of cells. The coating forms a pocket within at least some of the cells of the plurality of cells and extends radially inward of the tubular wall to define a void. In some instances, a partition or wall is positioned within at least some of the pockets and transects the void.

Abstract: A stent configured to change in length while maintaining a constant inner diameter is disclosed. The stent includes an elongated tubular member comprising at least one knitted filament forming a plurality of twisted knit stitches with rungs extending circumferentially between adjacent twisted knit stitches, wherein each twisted knit stitch is interconnected with a longitudinally adjacent twisted knit stitch forming a series of linked stitches. The tubular member is configured to be stretched from a first length to a second length while in a radially expanded configuration without substantially changing the inner and/or outer diameter of the tubular member.

Abstract: A stent formed of a radially-outwardly expandable material to exert a radially expansive force to inhibit migration. The stent includes a retention member configured to retain the stent in place relative to the body lumen in which the stent is placed. The retention member may further contribute to inhibiting migration of the stent and/or tissue at which the stent is deployed. Various features may be provided on the retention member to adapt the stent for use with a stoma and/or ostomy appliances or other particular locations in the body benefiting from the stent.
