Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for deploying a biliary stent. A biliary stent has lobes and creases to expand between contracted and expanded positions. The stent is delivered to a bile duct in a contracted position loaded on a shaft of a delivery device. When the shaft is retracted through the stent, wings on the shaft force the stent outward into the larger expanded position. In the expanded position, the creases form drainage channels to reduce blockage over the life of the stent.

Abstract: According to one aspect, an apparatus for treating tissue may include an elongate tube. The elongate tube may include a slot extending longitudinally along a first side of the elongate tube, a first elongate jaw member on a first side of the slot, and a second elongate jaw member on a second side of the slot. The apparatus may also include a shaft coupled to the elongate tube along a second side of the elongate tube. The first elongate jaw member may be movably coupled to the shaft, such that the first elongate jaw member may be movable toward the second elongate jaw member to converge tissue walls within the slot and cut the tissue walls within the slot.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to delivery systems configured to position a distal portion of a medical device within a restricted anatomical area. In one example, a delivery system may include a flexible elongate member with an inner member within a lumen of the flexible elongate member. A stent may be constrained therebetween. The stent may be configured to move between a first configuration to a second deployed configuration when unconstrained from the flexible elongate member. When the stent moves from the first configuration to the second configuration, the inner member may change from a first length to a second, shorter length. Other embodiments are contemplated.

Abstract: An occlusion device having a support structure and an expandable occlusion element associated with the support structure. The expandable occlusion element is formed of a self-expanding material, such as a hydrogel. A retainer may be provided to hold the expandable occlusion element with respect to the support structure of the occlusion device, within or outside the support structure, and positioned such that expansion of the expandable occlusion element occludes a lumen through the support structure and the occlusion device. Abstract: An endoprosthesis may include an expandable framework including an anchoring portion and a body portion extending axially from the anchoring portion, the body portion having a plurality of body cells; and a polymeric cover disposed on at least a portion of the expandable framework. The anchoring portion includes a first transverse flange and a second transverse flange proximate the first transverse flange, the first and second transverse flanges being configured to secure the anchoring portion at an orifice of a body lumen. The body portion includes a window through a side of the body portion, the window occupying space equivalent to at least two of the plurality of body cells. The window is devoid of the polymeric cover and any other structure within a perimeter of the window.

Abstract: A medical device for treating esophageal atresia may include a woven tubular member having a first end, a second end, and a body portion extending between the first end and the second end. The first end may have a first flange extending radially outwardly from the body portion. The second end may have a second flange extending radially outwardly from the body portion. The woven tubular member may be configured to transition from an initially-deployed state toward an equilibrium state. In the initially-deployed state, the body portion may include an inner region extending from the first flange to a transition region and an outer region extending from the second flange to the transition region. The outer region may surround the inner region. The woven tubular member may be self-biased to be in the equilibrium state.

Abstract: A medical device may include a snare loop and an elastic member that connects at least two sides of the snare loop. The elastic member is configured to transition from an unexpanded state where the elastic member is in a plane of the snare loop to an expanded state where the elastic member is outside the plane of the snare loop. The snare loop has a same shape when the elastic member is in the unexpanded shape and the expanded shape.
