Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for point cloud coding. A method for point cloud coding is proposed. The method comprises: determining, during a conversion between a current frame of a point cloud sequence and a bitstream of the point cloud sequence, at least one neighbor list comprising a set of neighbor points of a current point of the current frame based on geometry information of the set of neighbor points; and performing the conversion based on the at least one neighbor list. Compared with the conventional solution, the proposed method can advantageously improve the point cloud coding efficiency and coding quality.

A method for video processing is provided, including: determining original motion information associated with a current block; generating updated motion information based on specific prediction mode; and performing, based on the updated motion information, a conversion between the current block and a bitstream representation of a video data including the current block, wherein the specific prediction mode includes one or more of bi-directional optical flow (BIO) refinement, a decoder-side motion vector refinement (DMVR), frame-rate up conversion (FRUC) techniques or a template matching technique.

Abstract: A video processing method includes performing a conversion between a video block of a video and a coded representation of the video. The coded representation conforms to a format rule. The format rule specifies that applicability of a transform skip mode to the video block is determined by a coding condition of the video block. The format rule also specifies that a syntax element indicative of applicability of the transform skip mode is omitted from the coded representation. The transform skip mode includes skipping applying a forward transform to at least some coefficients prior to encoding into the coded representation, or during decoding, skipping applying an inverse transform to at least some coefficients prior to decoding from the coded representation.
