Abstract: There is provided a plasma display panel having an improved dielectric layer and a method of manufacturing the plasma display panel. The method of manufacturing the plasma display panel comprises the steps of: forming electrodes in a direction on a substrate; cleaning the substrate on which the electrodes are formed; coating the substrate with dielectric paste; drying the dielectric paste; and firing the dielectric paste and forming a dielectric layer having a single layer. Accordingly, it is possible to form a dielectric layer for a plasma display panel having reduced bubbles and an excellent transmittance.

Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a plasma display panel (PDP) and in a PDP manufactured by that method, electrodes are formed on a panel substrate using an offset printing technique. Furthermore, in the method, a gravure groove having a predetermined pattern is filled with a nonconductive opaque-colored paste. The nonconductive opaque-colored paste is transcribed from the gravure groove onto a first substrate via a printing blanket such that the paste is targeted at a non-discharge region between adjacent transparent electrodes. Similarly, a bus electrode paste is transcribed onto the transparent electrodes. The paste patterns are dried and fired. A dielectric layer is formed on the patterns, thereby completing a front substrate. A rear substrate is aligned with the front substrate, and a discharge gas is injected between the substrates, followed by sealing of the substrates to each other.

Abstract: A plasma display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate opposing one another with a predetermined gap therebetween. Address electrodes are formed on the first substrate. Also, barrier ribs are mounted in the gap between the first substrate and the second substrate, and define discharge cells in a predetermined display region of the first and second substrates. Phosphor layers are formed in the discharge cells. Further, scanning electrodes and display electrodes are formed on the second substrate. The scanning electrodes and the display electrodes each have a pitch in the display region that is identical to a pitch in terminal regions, which are formed to the outside of the display region.
