摘要: An apparatus is provided for capturing images including a base, and image capture adjustment mechanism, a first camera, and a second camera. The base is constructed and arranged to support an alignable array of cameras. The image capture adjustment mechanism is disposed relative to the base for adjusting an image capture line of sight for a camera relative to the base. The first camera is carried by the base, operably coupled with the image capture adjustment mechanism, and has an image capture device. The first camera has a line of sight defining a first field of view adjustable with the image capture adjustment mechanism relative to the base. The second camera is carried by the base and has an image capture device. The second camera has a line of sight defining a second field of view extending beyond a range of the field of view for the first camera in order to produce a field of view that is greater than the field of view provided by the first camera. A method is also provided.

摘要: A method of slurrifying oil contaminated materials by introducing a microemulsion or microemulsion-forming surfactant(s) to the material and subjecting the mixture to suitable shear or mixing forces to suitably blend such mixtures. The method may be applied directly to wastes such as waste drill mud cuttings and muds, emulsions, sludges, or soil substrates contaminated with water and/or oil drilling fluids in order to both reduce the viscosity and improve the lubricity, wetting, and flow properties of the substrate.

摘要: The invention relates to the formulation and application of water based predominantly pH neutral microemulsions and microemulsion forming surfactant systems essentially comprising a surfactant or surfactant˜end, lactates)—esters) of lactic acid—and water/brine and optionally solvent. Uniquely the formulations are acid and caustic free and also do not make use of alcohol, glycol and glycol ether components in the systems as co surfactant, co-solvent or mutual solvent. In particular the invention relates to the methods and the application of this microemulsion technology for use in industrial hard surface cleaning applications especially the inks and printing industries and the oil and gas industry. In addition the formulations can be used in the production of microemulsion based drilling muds (which may or may not be Oil Based Muds—OBMs) and they may be used to enhance the drill cuttings slurrification processes for re-injection purposes or for facilitated cuttings transport.

摘要: An investment mould process for forming a cast member is described. The process comprises forming a precursor casting (12) from a master mould (10). The master mould (10) has an internal surface (16) defining a space (14) in which the precursor casting (12) can be formed. The surface (16) defines a location indentation (20) to provide a corresponding location projection (3) on the precursor casting (12). A holding member (22) can be inserted into the location projection (3) to hold an internal member (17A, 17B).

摘要: Apparatus and methods for collecting and concentrating solar radiation for the generation of electrical power, the apparatus comprising a rotatable reflector dish which is pivoted to one side so as to be positioned between a vertical position or lowered to a horizontal position. When horizontal, the dish is protected by a surrounding weathershield for protection against high winds. The reflector dish is preferably parabolic and mounted so as to concentrate and reflect the solar radiation into a receiver.

摘要: The invention concerns polymeric films which can be used for twist wrap, for example for confectionery. Films of the invention have a layer of a blend of high density polyethylene with a polyethylene of lower density, a layer of high density polyethylene being provided on each surface of the blend. In general films of the invention will be produced by coextrusion and then uniaxially stretched in the machine direction. It has been possible to cut such films satisfactorily in a direction transverse to the direction of stretch using an oscillating cutter blade of the type used to cut films of reconstituted cellulose.
