摘要: A method and device for determining ionizing radiation. The method for determining ionizing radiation comprises the steps of applying a constant voltage across an organic semiconducting material sensor prior to and after exposure of the sensor to the ionizing radiation; measuring and converting the current passing through the sensor proportional to the conductivity or resistivity of the sensor which in turn is proportional to the ionizing radiation in the sensor, into a proportional analog voltage value; and if desired converting the analog voltage value into digital value; and comparing the analog/digital values obtained prior to and after exposure of the sensor to the ionizing radiation and computing the ionizing radiation based on the change in the analog/digital values. The electronic device for determining ionizing radiation comprises an organic semiconductor resistor (2) connected to a constant voltage source (3) and to a current to voltage converter (4), an analog to digital converter (5) connected to the current to voltage converter and a microprocessor (6) connected to the analog to digital converter.

摘要: The present invention is directed towards a “flash crowd” technique for handling situations where the cache receives additional requests, e.g.,. nearly simultaneous requests, for the same object during the time the server is processing and returning the response object for a first requester. Once all such nearly simultaneous requests are responded to by the cache, the object is flushed from the cache, with no additional expire time or invalidation action needed. This technique of the present invention enables data to be cached and served for very small amounts of time for objects that would otherwise be considered non-cacheable. As such, this technique yields a significant improvement in applications that serve fast changing data to a large volume of concurrent users, such, for example, as real time stock quotes, or a fast evolving news story.

The moieties are linked by a rigid or a flexible linker. The nucleotide or N-heteroaromatic moiety is ATP, ATP-mimics, N-heteroaromatics including purine-based derivatives, pyrimidine-based derivatives such as 2,4-diamino-5-substituted pyrimidine derivatives, pyrazole[3,4-d]pyrimidine derivatives, pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives, pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives, amino-substituted dihydropyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidinone derivatives, thieno- and furo-substituted derivatives, quinazoline derivatives, and quinoline derivatives, and several natural products such as aminogenistein. The phosphopeptide mimics comprise phosphonate-based phosphotyrosine mimetics such as phosphonomethylphenylalanine (Pmp) and its analogues, carboxylic acid-based phosphotyrosine mimetics such as malonyltyrosine or phenylalanine analogues and their derivatives such as carboxymethyl phenylalanine, uncharged pTyr mimetics, and conformationally constrained peptides. The phosphopeptide or phosphopeptide mimics inhibits the Src kinases SH2 domain.

摘要: The present invention is directed towards a method and system for modifying by a cache responses from a server that do not identify a dynamically generated object as cacheable to identify the dynamically generated object to a client as cacheable in the response. In some embodiments, such as an embodiment handling HTTP requests and responses for objects, the techniques of the present invention insert an entity tag, or “etag” into the response to provide cache control for objects provided without entity tags and/or cache control information from an originating server. This technique of the present invention provides an increase in cache hit rates by inserting information, such as entity tag and cache control information for an object, in a response to a client to enable the cache to check for a hit in a subsequent request.

The bias voltage generator may control the cascode bias voltages provided to the cascode transistors based on a plurality of programmable control bits received by the bias voltage generator. The received plurality of programmable control bits may include a first set of programmable control bits, which may be used to control the magnitude of the cascode bias voltages, and a second set of programmable control bits, which may be used to control the stability of the cascode bias voltages.

摘要: Described are contact lenses having photochromic materials within the central or pupillary area of the lens and methods for manufacturing such lenses. In one method, a photochromic amount of at least one photochromic material is added to the pupillary region of a casting mold containing a polymerizable monomer that can be at least partially cured before and/or after the addition. Another method involves providing an amount of polymerizable photochromic monomer for the pupillary region and an amount of polymerizable non-photochromic monomer for the remainder of the contact lens in a casting mold. The photochromic and non-photochromic monomers can differ by their degree of polymerization, viscosity and/or density.
