Abstract:
A head-up display device includes: a screen having a display area to which light is projected to image a virtual image; an outer housing that holds the screen; a scanner unit having a scanner oscillating about a virtual scanning axis to draw a display image in the display area by scanning of the scanner; and a scanner housing held by the outer housing and holding the scanner unit. The outer housing and the scanner housing have an adjustment structure to enable an adjustment of an emission direction of light emitted from the scanner housing at least around the scanning axis by a relative rotation of the scanner housing with respect to the outer housing about a virtual adjustment axis intersecting the scanner unit.
Abstract:
A head-up display includes a display unit displaying images in a display region defined on a vehicle windshield, a vehicle information acquisition unit acquiring vehicle information, a forward view information acquisition unit acquiring forward view information, a display object detection unit detecting a display object for which guidance information is required to be displayed in the display region, a display control unit, and a display form setting unit. The display control unit generates a guidance image indicating the guidance information of the detected display object and displays the generated guidance image over the display object in superimposed manner on the windshield. The display form setting unit calculates an annoyance value indicative of an annoyance level felt by a vehicle occupant when displaying the guidance image in superimposed manner, and sets a display form of the guidance image so that the calculated annoyance value is within a predetermined appropriate range.
Abstract:
A head-up display (10) equipped to a vehicle includes a front view information acquisition unit (22, S110, S120), a virtual image display unit (22, S180), and a size adjustment unit (22, S140-S160). The front view information acquisition unit acquires front view information indicative of an object existing on a travelling road of the vehicle. The virtual image display unit controls lights generated for displaying an object marker corresponding to the object indicated by the front view information acquired by the front view information acquisition unit to be reflected on a windshield (6) and displays the object marker as a virtual image in front of the vehicle. When the object is positioned ahead of the virtual image of the object marker in a traveling direction of the vehicle, the size adjustment unit adjusts a size of the object marker so that a length of the object marker in a width direction of the vehicle is at least equal to or longer than a display reference length, which is defined as a length of a line segment that connects, along the width direction of the vehicle and passing through the position where the virtual image of the object marker is formed, a straight line connecting a right eye of a driver of the vehicle with the object and another straight line connecting a left eye of the driver with the object.
Abstract:
A projection type display device configured to display an image on a window while also providing a view through the window. The projection type display device has a plurality of reflection portions arranged on a windshield for reflecting an image light that is projected from an image projection device and displaying a superposed display image onto the windshield. Further, since (i) the plurality of reflection portions are arranged on the window along a lateral direction with a lateral interval interposed at positions between two reflection portions, (ii) a lateral width of each of the plurality of reflection portions is less than the minimum human pupil diameter, and (iii) the lateral interval between the two reflection portions is equal to or greater than the lateral width of the reflection portion, the view of the vehicle occupant through the windshield is also sufficiently ensured.
Abstract:
An emergency report system includes a transmitter, a fixing member, and a portable terminal. The transmitter includes an accelerometer and a transmitting section, the accelerometer detects an acceleration of a vehicle, and the transmitting section transmits acceleration information including the acceleration detected by the accelerometer. The fixing member fixes the transmitter to a predetermined portion of the vehicle. The portable terminal includes a receiving section and a report section, the receiving section receives the acceleration information transmitted from the transmitting section, and the report section reports an emergency to a report destination preliminarily stored in the portable terminal based on the acceleration information.
