Abstract: A centrifugal blower includes a centrifugal fan and a partition cylinder portion. The centrifugal fan includes first blades and second blades arranged about a fan central axis, a separation panel between the first blades and the second blades, and an inward extending part extending inward in a radial direction from the separation panel. The partition cylinder portion has a cylindrical shape extending in an axial direction. The partition cylinder portion is located inside the second blades in the radial direction. The partition cylinder portion partitions air drawn into spaces between the first blades from air drawn into spaces between the second blades. The separation panel has a plate shape extending in the radial direction. The inward extending part is located inside, in the radial direction, both connected ends of the first blades and connected ends of the second blades which are joined to the separation panel.

Abstract: A centrifugal blower includes: a centrifugal fan, which includes a shroud ring; and a case. The case includes a cover portion that covers a surface of the shroud ring located on one side in an axial direction. The cover portion includes a recess formed in a cover opposing surface, which is opposed to the shroud ring, and the recess is shaped in a form of a circle. The shroud ring includes at least one projection that is formed in a ring opposing surface, which is opposed to the cover portion. A gap is formed between the cover portion and the shroud ring. A shortest distance between a radially inner end part of the shroud ring and the cover portion is set to be larger than a shortest distance between a surface of the projection and a surface of the recess.

Abstract: The air conditioner for a vehicle has a centrifugal fan and a housing. The centrifugal fan has a fan suction port and a rotary shaft and rotates centering on a rotational axis of the rotary shaft. The housing has a fan housing chamber, an introduction passage, and a wall. The fan housing chamber houses the centrifugal fan. The introduction passage guides air, which flows from an outside of the housing into the housing, to flow toward the centrifugal fan in a first direction intersecting with the rotational axis. The wall partitions the fan housing chamber and the introduction passage from each other and has an opening that faces the fan suction port. The wall has a rim defining the opening and being provided with an annular protruding portion. The annular protruding portion protrudes from the wall toward the introduction passage and covers the opening.

Abstract: A centrifugal blower includes a rotation shaft, an impeller, a casing, and a deflection portion. The impeller rotates about the rotation shaft to draw an air therein in an axial direction of the rotation shaft and discharge the air outward in a radial direction of the rotation shaft. The impeller includes a plurality of blades and a side panel having an annular shape and connecting the plurality of blades in the axial direction. The casing accommodates the impeller and includes an air intake portion adjacent to the side panel. The air intake portion has a bell mouth shape to have a rim portion that defines an opening through which the drawn air is guided to an inside of the impeller. The deflection portion deflects an airflow along the rim portion of the air intake portion toward the side panel.
