摘要： An orthopedic device can include an intramedullary nail and an insert telescopically received in the intramedullary nail. The insert includes at least two guiding bores for corresponding bone fasteners that can be locked at an angle to the intramedullary nail. A locking set screw can be coupled to the insert and move the insert to a position that locks the bone fasteners to the nail.

摘要： An apparatus for spinal fixation has a longitudinally extending core which provides structural integrity and allows for bone growth along the center column of the spine. The apparatus for spinal fixation further includes upper and lower platform members radially extending from upper and lower ends, respectively, of the core. The platform members each include a plurality of radially extending arms which define substantially triangular openings therebetween. The openings permit bone ingrowth therethrough to the space between the upper and lower platform members which is interrupted only by the core.

The external fixator additionally includes an angular correction module connecting the first and second bone screw clamping assemblies. The angular correction module includes a first element and a second element coupled to allow articulation of the first bone screw clamping assembly relative to the second bone screw clamping assembly about a center of rotation spaced from the module.

摘要： A bone stabilization implant comprises a single piece of material machined to include a bone plate portion having a length with a center line, a bone contact surface and an outer surface. The bone plate portion has a plurality of openings extending through the outer surface and the bone contact surface and are located at positions along the length of material. The openings are sized to receive a conventional bone screw. The outer surface is machined to include a plurality of integral bosses positioned at locations along the length. Each of the bosses has crimping surfaces and a pair of holes therethrough that are sized to receive cable. Each of the bosses is deformable to clamp cable received in the pair of holes when the crimping surfaces are crimped. The integration of the bosses with the underlying bone plate portion better facilitates handling of the implant during implantation procedures and substantially reduces the breakage and wear problems associated with prior art bone stabilization implants.
