    Abstract: A disclosed wireless charging clip for an information handling system includes a first surface comprising a charging coil, a ferrite sheet positioned below the first surface, mating elements to be coupled to respective mating elements of the information handling system when the charging clip is installed on the information handling system, charging circuitry configured supply inductive power to charge an auxiliary device when the device is placed on top of the first surface, and a connector through which input power is received from the information handling system when the charging clip is installed. The charging coil may include multiple graphene layers. The charging clip may include a second surface and a third surface including the connector through which input power is received from the information handling system. The mating elements may include magnets to align and hold the charging clip in position with respect to the information handling system.

    Abstract: A multi-layer bezel for a flexible information handling system (IHS) display may include a die-cut polycarbonate rectangular frame layer, a die cut low durometer foam layer, aligned with and disposed below the polycarbonate rectangular frame layer and a polymer layer aligned with the polycarbonate rectangular frame layer. In various implementations the rectangular frame layer may have a first open-sided rectangular frame segment and a complementary second open-sided rectangular frame segment. The die-cut polycarbonate may be transparent and back-printed with sensor openings for IHS components. The bezel may be a multi-layer stack-up that is die cut to define the bezel. Alternatively, the bezel may be defined by a domed polyurethane upper layer disposed on the die cut polycarbonate rectangular frame layer on a side of the polycarbonate rectangular frame layer opposite the die cut low durometer foam layer.

    Abstract: A portable information handling system supports a flexible OLED display film over housing portions rotationally coupled by a hinge by folding the OLED display film over the hinge. Hinge brackets that couple to the housing portions each have a helical member that extends into an associated helical guide of the hinge main body. Hinge bracket rotation translates through the helical guides for synchronized housing rotation. The hinge main body has first and second circular portions extending along its length to define first and second rotation axes about which the hinge brackets pivot so that the display film has space to fold in the closed position.

    Abstract: A latch with magnetically-assisted operation is described. In some embodiments, a latch may include: a first magnetic device fixedly coupled to a first portion of an Information Handling System (IHS); a second magnetic device coupled to a second movable portion of the IHS; and a carrier, comprising: a compression bracket fixedly coupled to the first portion of the IHS, the compression bracket having a slot configured to accommodate the second magnetic device, at least one guidepost configured to receive a return spring, and at least one stopping pin; and a actuator bracket movably coupled to compression bracket, the actuator bracket having a button configured to translate the second magnetic device with respect to the first magnetic device, at least one orifice configured to engage with the at least one guidepost, and at least one detent configured to engage with the at least one stopping pin.
