    摘要： A method for managing carriers allocated to a mobile station in a broadband wireless access system supporting multiple carriers, and an apparatus for use in the method are disclosed. A carrier management method for allowing a mobile station to perform carrier management in a broadband wireless access system supporting multiple carriers includes receiving a first message, which includes activation information indicating activation of at least one target carrier from among one or more second carriers allocated through a first carrier, from a base station, and transmitting a second message, which informs the base station of readiness or non-readiness of the at least one target carrier according to a result of the activation, to the base station. The activation information includes information indicating an activation time point, and the transmitting of the second message is performed at a specific time indicated by the activation time point information.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a broadband wireless access system, and more particularly, to a method in which a terminal acquires and updates global carrier configuration information of base stations in a network, and to an apparatus for performing the method. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method in which a terminal acquires carrier configuration information in a broadband wireless access system that supports multiple carriers comprises the following steps; transmitting a first message containing a change count value of the carrier configuration information acquired by the terminal: receiving, from the base station and in response to the first message, a second message containing the current change count value of the carrier configuration information; and, if the change count value of the first message and the change count value of the second message are different from each other, receiving a third message containing current carrier configuration information and the current change count value from the base station.

The 1st embodiment of the present invention is a method for controlling a center frequency in a wireless access system comprising the steps of: receiving a control message including a 1st parameter which indicates a configuration of carrier groups and a 2nd parameter which indicates whether the center frequency is controlled from a base station; deriving the center frequency of carriers allocated to a mobile terminal by using the 1st parameter; and controlling the center frequency by using the 2nd parameter.

    摘要： A method for requesting a bandwidth at a mobile terminal in a wireless communication system includes receiving, from a base station, information on whether the base station can compensate for changes in bandwidth request quantity caused by fragmentation or packing of a protocol data unit (PDU); requesting, to the base station, a bandwidth required for transmitting a first PDU; separating the first PDU and generating a second PDU and a third PDU in consideration of the quantity of allocated bandwidth when the quantity of bandwidth allocated by the base station is smaller than the requested quantity; transmitting the second PDU to the base station; and starting a first timer at the point in time the bandwidth allocation is received or at the point in time when the second PDU is transmitted and the information indicates that the base station can compensate for the changes in the bandwidth request quantity.

Signaling overhead for managing multiple carriers may be reduced.
