    Abstract: A light emitting apparatus includes a substrate and light emitting elements including at least one light emitting element that is provided, on the substrate, in each region of plural regions and that emits irradiation light toward a target object, the regions including a first region and a second region and being isolated from each other to be arranged one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally. In the plural regions, an irradiation light amount of at least one light emitting element provided in the first region that is a region located at an end in an arrangement direction is larger than an irradiation light amount of at least one light emitting element provided in the second region that is a region located at a place other than the end in the arrangement direction.

    Abstract: A light emitting element formed of a laminate having a current constriction layer includes: a semiconductor substrate; a light emitting portion having plural first recess portions having a depth reaching the current constriction layer, and a current constriction structure formed in the current constriction layer and having an oxidized region where the current constriction layer is oxidized and a non-oxidized region surrounded by the oxidized region; an electrode pad disposed between the light emitting portion and an outer edge portion of the semiconductor substrate; and a step portion disposed between the electrode pad and the light emitting portion and formed from an upper surface of the laminate to the current constriction layer, and the current constriction layer in a region surrounded by the step portion is the oxidized region except for the non-oxidized region.

    Abstract: A surface emitting laser element array includes multiple two-dimensionally arranged surface-emitting laser element groups each including multiple surface-emitting laser elements. The multiple surface-emitting laser element groups are drivable independently of each other. The multiple surface-emitting laser element groups are arranged in an arrangement region such that the number of surface-emitting laser element groups arranged in a first direction is larger than the number of surface-emitting laser element groups arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. An irradiation region irradiated with light emitted from the multiple surface-emitting laser element groups has a shape elongated in the first direction. The arrangement region in which the multiple surface-emitting laser element groups are arranged has an aspect ratio closer to 1:1 than the irradiation region.

    Abstract: A light-emitting element array includes multiple light-emission instruction units arranged in a first direction; a first light-emitting element group row including light-emitting element groups each including a multiple light-emitting elements such that the light-emitting element groups are arranged in a direction intersecting the first direction; a second light-emitting element group row including light-emitting element groups each including a multiple light-emitting elements such that the second light-emitting element group row is arranged along the first light-emitting element group row in the first direction; and a multiple wiring lines that connect the multiple light-emission instruction units to the light-emitting element groups in the first light-emitting element group row and the light-emitting element groups in the second light-emitting element group row to provide a light-emission instruction. The multiple wiring lines are connected such that in response to the multiple light-emission instruction units sequentially providing a light-emission instruction in the first direction, the light-emitting element groups in the first light-emitting element group row sequentially emit light in the direction intersecting the first direction and, after turning on of the first light-emitting element group row is completed, the light-emitting element groups in the second light-emitting element group row sequentially emit light in the direction intersecting the first direction.
