Abstract: A communication device communicatable with an information processing device, including: a communicator that communicates with the information processing device; a detector that detects the movement of the communication device; an acquirer that acquires position information of the communication device by using one of different communication methods; and a selector that selects a communication method in which the acquirer acquires the position information, based on a selection signal transmitted from the information processing device; wherein when the detector detects the movement of the communication device, the communicator communicates with the information processing device, and the acquirer acquires the position information of the communication device by using the communication method selected by the selector.

Abstract: A communication apparatus includes a detection unit that detects a first apparatus that is able to wirelessly communicate with the communication apparatus; a first selection unit that determines a route for communication between the communication apparatus and a communication destination, the route may include an intervening apparatus that relays communication between the communication apparatus and the communication destination, and selects, if plural routes are determined, a first route where a number of the intervening apparatuses is smallest from among the determined routes; and a second selection unit that, when two or more first routes are selected by the first selection unit, calculates, for each of the first routes, a sum of squares of each of first signal strength between two apparatuses in the determined first route as a second signal strength, and selects the route having the highest second signal strength from the determined first routes.

Abstract: A communication system in which a communication apparatus includes a calculation unit configured to calculate, upon receiving a search signal from a new communication apparatus, a first time length by multiplying a first weighting time length by a relay count in a communication route to a destination, a second time length by multiplying a second weighting time length shorter than the first weighting time length by the signal strength of each communication link in the communication route, and a third time length by adding the first and second time lengths, and a transmission unit configured to transmit a response signal upon passage of the third time length from the receipt of the search signal, wherein upon receiving the response signal from one of the communication apparatuses ahead of any other response signals, the new communication apparatus sets the one of the communication apparatuses as the most adjacent relay point.
