摘要: Provided herein is a method of preparing anode slurries of lithium-ion batteries. The method disclosed herein comprises a step of dispersing a silicon-based material (2) in a solvent containing a porous carbon aerogel (1). This step allows the silicon-based material (2) to diffuse into and reside in the pores (3) of the porous carbon aerogel (1). The pores (3) provide sufficient space for the expansion of the silicon-based material (2) during the intercalation of lithium ions. Cracking of the silicon-containing layer is avoided.

摘要: Provided herein is a method of preparing anode slurries of lithium-ion batteries. The silicon-based material is uniformly dispersed prior to mixing with other components of the anode slurry. The method disclosed herein is capable of avoiding agglomeration of nano-sized silicon-based material and effectively dispersing the nano-sized silicon-based material uniformly in anode slurries. Anodes coated with the anode slurries disclosed herein also show an improvement in the electrical conductivity.

摘要: Provided herein is an anode slurry for lithium-ion batteries, comprising a silicon-based material, a porous carbon aerogel, a binder material, a carbon active material, and a solvent, wherein the porous carbon aerogel has an average pore size from about 80 nm to about 500 nm. The porous carbon aerogel in the anode slurry disclosed herein provides sufficient space for expansion of the silicon-based material during intercalation of lithium ions. Cracking of the silicon-containing anode layer is prevented.

摘要: A cathode slurry comprises a cathode active material, especially a nickel-containing cathode active material, a binder, a solvent and a base having a formula of R 1R 2R 3N, with improved stability in water. Pre-treatment of nickel-containing cathode active materials may improve stability of the cathode by preventing undesirable decomposition of the material. In addition, battery cells comprising the cathode prepared by the cathode slurry exhibit impressive electrochemical performances.

摘要: The invention provides a method for delaminating a composite by immersing the composite into a delamination solution; wherein the composite comprises a metal substrate and a coating applied on one side or both sides of the metal substrate, wherein the coating comprises a polymeric binder; and wherein the polymeric binder comprises an aqueous copolymer. The use of delamination solution comprising a strong base allows for complete delamination of the composite in a highly efficient and extremely fast manner. Furthermore, the delamination method disclosed herein circumvents complex separation processes, contamination and corrosion of the metal substrate and enables an excellent materials recovery. An application of the method for delaminating an electrode for a battery is disclosed herein.

摘要: A binder composition that can be used in a dry electrode mixture or electrode slurry for producing an electrode is disclosed. The binder composition comprises a water-compatible copolymer, and has a liquid content of less than 85%by weight, based on the total weight of the binder composition. The reduced liquid content of the binder composition improves transport and storage efficiency compared to a conventional wet binder composition. The binder composition disclosed herein is versatile, and can be used successfully in a dry electrode mixture and an electrode slurry. Batteries comprising electrodes prepared with the binder composition disclosed herein have electrochemical performances comparable to batteries comprising electrodes produced via a conventional wet binder composition.
