Abstract:
A method of providing services to computing devices includes establishing a connection over the Internet with a computing device; receiving data from the computing device during the connection; extracting a signal from the data received from the computing device; estimating a relative age of the computing device based on the extracted signal; selecting a service from a plurality of services based on the estimated relative age of the computing device; and providing the selected service to the computing device.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is generally directed a data processing system for authenticating packetized audio signals in a voice activated computer network environment. The data processing system can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of auditory data packet transmission over one or more computer networks by, for example, disabling malicious transmissions prior to their transmission across the network. The present solution can also improve computational efficiency by disabling remote computer processes possibly affected by or caused by the malicious audio signal transmissions. By disabling the transmission of malicious audio signals, the system can reduce bandwidth utilization by not transmitting the data packets carrying the malicious audio signal across the networks.
Abstract:
A system of multi-modal transmission of packetized data in a voice activated data packet based computer network environment is provided. A natural language processor component can parse an input audio signal to identify a request and a trigger keyword. Based on the input audio signal, a direct action application programming interface can generate a first action data structure, and a content selector component can select a content item. An interface management component can identify first and second candidate interfaces, and respective resource utilization values. The interface management component can select, based on the resource utilization values, the first candidate interface to present the content item. The interface management component can provide the first action data structure to the client computing device for rendering as audio output, and can transmit the content item converted for a first modality to deliver the content item for rendering from the selected interface.

Abstract:
Disclosed are systems and methods for adjusting the frequency of data transmissions in a voice activated data packet based environment. A pooling component can generate first and second action data structures into a pooled data structure, and can transmit the pooled data structure to a service provider computing device to cause it device to perform an operation defined by the pooled data structure. Based on characteristics of the client devices, the system can select transmission rates for the transmission of operations associated with the pooled data structure to each of the client devices.
Abstract:
Routing packetized actions in a voice activated data packet based computer network environment is provided. A system can receive audio signals detected by a microphone of a device. The system can parse the audio signal to identify trigger keyword and request, and generate an action data structure. The action data structure can include digital components and entity-action pairs.
Abstract:
Optimization of sequence dependent operations in a voice activated data packet based computer network environment is provided. A natural language processor component can parse an input audio signal to identify a request and a trigger keyword. A prediction component can determine a thread based on the trigger keyword and the request that includes a first action, a second action subsequent to the first action, and a third action subsequent to the second action. A content selector component can select, based on the third action and the trigger keyword, a content item. An audio signal generator component can generate an output signal comprising the content item. An interface can transmit the output signal to cause a client computing device to drive a speaker to generate an acoustic wave corresponding to the output signal prior to occurrence of at least one of the first action and the second action.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a system for device configuration-based function delivery. A server receives a data structure including device configuration information that indicates the computing device comprises an application programming interface to allow a data function to access a call function of the computing device. The server identifies a first content item having a call-on-select function and a second content item without a call-on-select function. The server determines, based on the device configuration information, a first call score for the first content item having the call-on-select function and a second call score for the second content item without the call-on-select function. The server selects the second content item for transmission to the computing device to cause the computing device to display the second content item without the call-on-select function on the computing device comprising the application programming interface.
Abstract:
An advertising system receives an advertisement from a merchant system and receives data from a call center associated with the merchant system and with the advertisement. The advertising system determines a call center occupancy at the merchant system call center. The advertising system determines a first bid for an advertising space auction based on the call center occupancy and transmits the first bid to an advertising platform hosting the advertising space auction. The advertising system receives a notice of progress of the advertising space auction from the advertising platform system. If the advertising space auction is still open, the advertising system determines the current call center capacity and adjusts the first bid for the auction based on the current call center capacity. The advertisement is displayed on a user computing device. When a user selects the advertisement, the user computing device dials the merchant system call center.
Abstract:
A method for completing financial transactions by telephone comprises a user that indicates a desire to conduct a financial transaction with a merchant using financial account information maintained by an account system. The merchant determines the user's telephone number and prepares a request to the account system for data to complete the financial transaction. The account system prepares a request for authorization to transmit the data to the merchant to complete the financial transaction and transmits the request to a user device. The user device displays the request for authorization, and the user's authorization is transmitted to the account system. Upon receipt of the authorization, the account system account management system prepares limited use financial account for the transaction with the user and transmits the data to the merchant. The merchant completes the financial transaction requested by the user during the telephone call using the received data.
