    摘要: A winding apparatus for a web, such as photographic film, advances the web through a cutting mechanism and along a fixed guide to a spool. After the end of the web is attached to the spool, the spool is rotated to wind convolutions of the web onto the spool. The spool is rotated in a direction which causes the web to move away from fixed guide due to the increase in the diameter of the web on the spool as each convolution of the web is wound onto the spool. Air under pressure is directed from an air bar against the web to locate the portion of the web adjacent the cutting mechanism in a position where it is not scratched by the cutting mechanism as it is wound onto the spool. The air bar also urges the web toward the fixed guide when the leading end of the web is advanced from the cutting mechanism into the space between the air bar and the fixed guide as it is driven to the spool for initial attachment to the spool.

    摘要: Two components slide with respect to one another, and hold a stack of cards. A first component includes three members extending into a chamber formed by its C-shaped cross-section. When the components are slid apart, the first card in the stack is partially exposed. The card is pushed back past the outer members providing resistance to prevent the cards from moving while allowing only the top card to be pushed past the outer appendages to expose the next card. When the components are pushed together, a bump on an L-shaped component assures that the cards are aligned in a stack. The two outer members include tangs at their terminations that retain a stack of cards within the chamber and prevent them from sliding past. Between the outer members, a central spring extends in an angled configuration into the chamber and presses against the cards and frictionally retains them in position within the chamber.

    摘要: A heating structure includes an opening that surrounds a heating element and a heat transfer element. Each heat transfer element is disposed between an exterior surface of the heating element and an interior surface of the opening. A clamping mechanism is used to clamp each heating element against a heat transfer element. Each heat transfer element partially surrounds a heating element and is configured to create at least two elongated and spatially separate contact regions along a length of the heating element. The at least two contact regions form a line of contact between the heating element and the interior surface of the opening when the heating element is clamped against the heat transfer element. The at least two contact regions allow the heating element to transfer heat to the opening and to the tooling device. The clamping mechanism may also be used to transfer heat to the tooling device.
