摘要： An image heating apparatus is provided for heating an image formed on a recording material having a resin material layer at an image formation side thereof. The apparatus includes a belt for closely contacting and heating an image on the recording material to provide a high glossiness image, and a cooler for cooling the recording material heated by the belt. The belt comprises a layer of siloxane-modified polyimide and has a thermal expansion coefficient of not less than 6×10−5/° C. and not more than 10×10−5/° C.

摘要： An image formation system includes image forming means for forming different color toner images on a recording material having a toner reception layer; first image heating means for heating and pressing the toner image on the recording material; second image heating means for heating and pressing the toner image on the recording material having been heated and pressed by the first image heating means; and wherein the first image heating means is operable so as to provide a granularity R of the toner image satisfying 0.5≦R≦4.0 and a glossiness G of the toner image satisfying 5≦G≦40, and the second image heating means is operable so as to provide a granularity R of the toner image satisfying not more than 4.0 and a glossiness G of the toner image satisfying not less than 60.

摘要： An image forming system includes an image forming device configured to form an image on a recording material using a color toner and a transparent toner, a fixing device, a glossing device that has a conveying device which conveys the recording material, a heating device heating the recording material, and a cooling device cooling the recording material, and a controller controlling said image forming device so that an amount of the transparent toner per unit area on the recording material in a first image forming mode in which the image is formed using said fixing device and said glossing device is smaller than the amount of the transparent toner per unit area on the recording material in a second image forming mode in which the image is formed using said fixing device without using said glossing device.

摘要： An image forming apparatus including: colored toner image forming devices each developing an electrostatic image with colored toner to form a colored toner image; a transparent toner image forming device developing an electrostatic image with transparent toner to form a transparent toner image; a transfer device superimposing and transferring the colored toner images and the transparent toner image on a transfer medium; and a fixing device fixing the superimposed toner images on the transfer medium. An image forming operation by the transparent toner image forming device is controlled in such a manner that the heights of the superimposed toner images fixed by the fixing device are substantially constant. The transparent toner has an absolute value for a charge amount per unit weight smaller than an absolute value for the charge amount of each of the colored toners per unit weight.

摘要： A transparent toner image forming device forms a transparent toner image on a sheet on which a color toner image is fixed. Image information that is designated by a user for forming the transparent toner image on part of the sheet is obtained. Application of the transparent toner is controlled such that, when the color toner is fixed in an amount not less than a predetermined first amount per unit area in a first region designated so as not to form the transparent toner image on the basis of image information, the transparent toner image is formed in a predetermined second amount per unit area in the first region. The transparent toner image is formed in an amount not less than the predetermined second amount per unit area in a second region designated so as to form the transparent toner image on the basis of the image information.
