    摘要: Provided is a crimp terminal designed to be crimped onto an end portion of an electric wire to form a terminal-equipped electric wire, achieving both of ensuring mechanical strength of the terminal-equipped electric wire and reducing a contact resistance between the electric wire and the crimp terminal. The crimp terminal comprises an electric contact section and an electric-wire crimp section to be crimped onto a conductor in the end portion of the electric wire, the crimp terminal being formed of a metal plate which has a copper-containing plate body and a tin-plating layer covering a surface of the plate body. In the crimp terminal, the tin-plating layer has a smaller thickness in a crimp surface region where the electric-wire crimp section is to make contact with the end portion of the electric wire is less than that in an electrical contact surface region where the electric contact section is to make contact with a counterpart terminal.

The surface has a plurality of recesses that extend in a direction that is to cross the axial direction of the electric wire and are separated from each other in the direction that is to cross the axial direction of the electric wire. The wire barrel has a thickness in a range from 0.15 mm to 1 mm before being crimped to the electric wire. Each recess has a depth in a range from 30% to 60% of the thickness of the wire barrel before the wire barrel is crimped onto the electric wire.

The crimp terminal includes a pair of conductor barrels which are crimped onto a conductor of an electric wire. The conductor barrel has an outer surface provided with a crimp state indicator for evaluating a crimp level thereof. The indicator may be a mark so shaped that a position of an internal end of an outwardly exposed part thereof is varied in a terminal axial direction corresponding to the crimp level, or include a plurality of marks spaced in a direction perpendicular to the terminal axial direction.

    摘要: A joint connector capable of mutually short-circuiting wires reliably without an increase in the number of components and size thereof. The joint connector (JC) comprises a joint terminal for short-circuiting and a connector housing. The joint terminal includes a plurality of electric contact portions and a short-circuiting portion connecting the electric contact portions. The connector housing has a bottom wall and other walls surrounding a terminal insertion space into which each of the wire-side terminal is inserted, and a lance for locking the inserted wire-side terminal. The lance adapted to be deflected so as to project outwardly from the bottom wall, until the wire-side terminal reaches a proper insertion depth position, to be retracted from the wire-side terminal, and elastically return into the bottom wall, when the wire-side terminal reaches the position. The deflection of the lance allows the insertion of the wire-side terminal to be checked.
