    摘要: The invention relates to a pressing tool, crimping tool or cutting tool (1; 2; 3) with a tool jaw (5) which is supported at a supporting body (24) by a guidance (28) having a remaining measuring degree of freedom (26). The tool jaw (5) is supported at the supporting body (24) in the direction of the measuring degree of freedom (26) by a mechanical parallel arrangement of an elastic supporting element (14) and a sensor (84). Here, the stiffness of the elastic supporting element (14) is dimensioned such that for the maximum of the effective working force of the pressing tool, crimping tool or cutting tool (1; 2; 3) the sensor (84) has a maximum deflection of at least 0.1 mm or at least 1°.

    摘要: A crimping apparatus comprising a press module connected with a pressing mold, a translation module, and a pressure control module is disclosed. The press module generates an action force on the pressing mold through a fluid. The translation module is coupled to the press module for driving the press module to move toward a flexible printed circuit having two isolated circuit layers such that one circuit layer is pressed to crimp to the other circuit layer, wherein the pressure control module adjusts the pressure within the press module to maintain a constant force on the pressing mold whereby the pressing mold can generate a constant stress acting on the flexible printed circuit during the crimping process. In addition, the crimping apparatus can be adapted in a roll-to-roll process for crimping two isolated circuit layers of each flexible printed circuit unit arranged on the roll.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for collecting data for nondestructive evaluation of the quality of a crimped wire connector are provided. The process involves providing a crimping tool having an anvil and opposing jaw for crimping a terminal onto a stranded wire, moving the jaw relative to the anvil to close the distance between the jaw and the anvil and thereby compress the terminal against the wire, while transmitting ultrasonic waves that are propagated through the terminal wire combination and received at a receiving ultrasonic transducer as the jaw is moved relative to the anvil, and detecting and recording the position of the jaw relative to the anvil as a function of time and detecting and recording the amplitude of the ultrasonic wave that is received at the receiving ultrasonic transducer as a function of time as the jaw is moved relative to the anvil.

    摘要: A crimp tool for crimping contacts onto wire cable ends includes an indentor mechanism having a plurality of moveable indentors for deforming a portion of a contact inserted into the mechanism. One of the indentors has a pressure responsive element for providing a signal indicative of the pressure exerted on the contact by the indentor. A device coupled to the pressure responsive element records pressure data and transfers data to an electronic control unit for determining operation of the mechanism. An automated inspection system uses light projection and a light sensor adapted for detecting light projected through a crimping die to measure dimensions and configurations of the crimping die. The system stores data representative of desired measurements of the crimping die and compares actual measurements to desired measurements. A set of fixtures are used for positioning the crimping die in the inspection system.

    摘要: A crimp terminal whose crimp state can be easily evaluated and to provide a method of manufacturing a terminal-provided wire comprising the crimp terminal. The crimp terminal includes a pair of conductor barrels which are crimped onto a conductor of an electric wire. The conductor barrel has an outer surface provided with a crimp state indicator for evaluating a crimp level thereof. The indicator may be a mark so shaped that a position of an internal end of an outwardly exposed part thereof is varied in a terminal axial direction corresponding to the crimp level, or include a plurality of marks spaced in a direction perpendicular to the terminal axial direction.

A system for monitoring crimping of a fitting onto a hose end or the like might include a pressure sensor deployed in conjunction with a crimper to measure fluid pressure employed by the crimper during the crimp, a die diameter monitor and, a controller operatively connected to the crimper and sensors.
