    摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus for performing maintenance ejection onto a printed image makes it possible to obtain a favorable printing image by rendering maintenance ejection ink dots inconspicuous. Pixel position comparison is performed between an objective pixel and data in a pixel position at the same address to detect whether image data is present at the same address. When the image data is not present in the same position, comparison operation is performed on a subsequent objective pixel. When the image data is present in the same position, processing with an image processing mask is performed on the image data in a print buffer. The image data in the print buffer is combined with the maintenance ejection data to generate image printing data. This image processing makes it possible to thin out dots from the image data and to render the maintenance ejection ink dots inconspicuous.

    摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus for performing maintenance ejection onto a printed image makes it possible to obtain a favorable printing image by rendering maintenance ejection ink dots inconspicuous.     摘要: A method for coupling a liquid jet head unit is to couple a liquid jet head unit for recording by discharging liquid to a recording medium with a head installation member capable of installing the head unit through an elastic member. This method comprises the steps of preparing a liquid jet head unit structured integrally with two orifice arrays substantially paralleled and a first supply opening group for supplying liquid to the orifice arrays, and a head installation member provided with a second supply opening group corresponding to the first supply opening group for supplying liquid to the liquid jet head unit, and also, an elastic member having holes corresponding to each of the supply opening groups, providing first and second coupling units for one end side and the other end side of the two orifice arrays for coupling the liquid jet head unit and the head unit installation member, respectively and coupling only one face of the liquid jet head unit and the head unit installation member using the first and second coupling units. With the adoption of this method, it is possible to implement stabilized recording on a recording medium by a stabilized ink supply, at the same time, preventing any erroneous installation in the coupling mode.

    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus having a recording head includes an ink storage tank for storing ink to be supplied to the recording head, an ink path between the recording head and the ink storage tank, and an ink remain detector provided in the ink path. The ink remain detector has ink inflow and outflow ports and an ink chamber communicating therewith; at least a portion of a wall of the chamber is formed of a flexible film member. A separation of the flexible film member is detected by a detector means, responsive to a pressure decrease in the ink chamber. The flexible film member is biased so that it is not apart from the detector means. The displacement of the flexible film is limited so that the film is not displaced over a predetermined amount, and is limited when enough ink flows from the inflow port to the outflow port in the ink chamber.
