    摘要： A digital image storage system includes a digital camera having a battery and a memory capable of storing digital images. The digital image storage system further includes a data storage including an adapter on which the digital camera is to be laid down for transmitting the digital images of the memory to the adapter and for receiving electric power from the adapter to charge the battery, a storage medium that stores the digital images transmitted from the memory through the adapter. The data storage further includes a detector that detects a signal from the adapter to start the transmission of the digital images and a controller that generates a termination signal informing of the termination of the digital image transmission to cause an automatic start of the charging of the battery from the adapter.

    摘要： A digital camera has a memory for recording function and environment of the camera upon every use thereof, or delivery of the camera to users. The memory is kept without deletion to be a history of the camera. The memory cannot be used by the user, but is take out of the camera upon its recycle for transferring the memory to a database or to a site of designing new cameras. The memory should be taken out on the authorization of the user. If the memory includes name, address, custom settings, user contract, password, or the like, such memory may be transferred to a new camera of the same user on demand. Used camera can be conveniently returned at a site where commodities irrelevant to cameras are sold, which may prevent illegal disposal of cameras.

    摘要： An image storage system includes: an image storage apparatus; and a supporting apparatus. And the image storage apparatus includes an input unit to which image information is input, a first communication unit, a management unit that executes management so that the input image information is transmitted from the first communication unit in automatic response to an input of the image information to the input unit, an information holding unit that holds the input image information until a transmission thereof is completed and then automatically discards the input image information after the transmission is completed in response to the management unit, an information storage unit at which related information corresponding to the image information having been transmitted is stored even after the transmission is completed, and an instruction unit that issues an instruction via the first communication unit with regard to processing to be executed on the image information based upon the related information stored at the information storage unit. On the other hand the supporting apparatus includes a second communication unit, an image storage unit at which the image information from the first communication unit having been received at the second communication unit is stored, and a processing unit that executes processing on images stored at the image storage unit based upon the instruction received at the second communication unit from the first communication unit.
