    摘要: A dielectric filter, a dielectric duplexer, and a communication apparatus using them allow balanced input and/or output to be implemented without requiring a balun. Using a dielectric block, two &lgr;/2 resonators are individually formed using either inner-conductor-forming openings with inner conductors therein, or stripline-type conductors, both of said conductors having both ends open-circuited, and said conductors being capacitively coupled together. Terminal electrodes coupled to the vicinities of two open-circuited ends of one of the resonators are used as balanced terminals on one side, and terminal electrodes coupled to the vicinities of the two open-circuited ends of the other one of the resonators are used as balanced terminals on the other side.

    摘要: Inner conductor formation holes having inner conductors formed on the inner walls thereof are formed in a dielectric block. Both of the ends of one of the inner conductors are open and led out as terminal electrodes which function as balanced ports. Both of the ends of another inner conductor are connected to an outer conductor to be grounded, and the center portion of the inner conductor between the ends is led out as a terminal electrode which functions as an unbalanced port. The circuit can also be realized with striplines or microstriplines on a dielectric substrate. Thus, a balanced-unbalanced converter having these terminal electrodes as balanced and unbalanced ports is formed.

    摘要: There is disclosed a dielectric filter comprising: an attenuation band in proximity to a pass band; a threshold-frequency position of a determined maximum insertion loss being arranged close to a shoulder portion of a waveform exhibiting pass characteristics in which insertion losses increase in a region from the pass band to the attenuation band; temperature characteristics of a dielectric material being determined in such a manner that the shoulder portion moves toward the attenuation-band direction according to an increase and decrease in temperature. In the above dielectric filter, the deterioration of insertion-loss characteristics with respect to temperature changes is improved so that good characteristics are exhibited over a wide range of temperatures.

    摘要: A chip device having a ground electrode and a plurality of top-surface electrodes on a plate-like dielectric substrate. Two of the top-surface electrodes are connected to the ground electrode via respective short-circuit side-surface electrodes to form quarter wavelength resonant lines. A third top-surface electrode is provided between the two top-surface electrodes and both ends thereof are opened to form a half wavelength resonant line. The two top-surface electrodes each have a parallel portion arranged near and in parallel to the third top-surface electrode and a flexion that curves from the parallel portion, extends toward the remaining of the two top-surface electrodes, and is jump-coupled to the remaining of the two top-surface electrodes. The short-circuit side-surface electrodes are jump-coupled to each other, like the flexions.

    摘要: The present invention provides a dielectric resonator, a dielectric filter, a dielectric duplexer capable of reducing leakage of electromagnetic waves and capable of being miniaturized, and a communication apparatus incorporating the same. In each of the dielectric resonator and filter, inside a dielectric block, there is formed a L-shaped inner-conductor-formed hole having a bend at some point of the hole in a manner extending from an outer surface of the dielectric block to a surface perpendicular to the outer surface. An inner conductor is formed on the inner surface of the inner-conductor-formed hole. On the substantially entire outer surfaces of the dielectric block, there is disposed an outer conductor, with one end of the inner-conductor-formed hole open-circuited and the remaining end of the hole short-circuited. Around the edge of the open-circuited end there is formed an outer coupling electrode. This structure enables formation of the dielectric resonator and the dielectric filter having the L-shaped inner-conductor-formed holes.
