The liquid circulation module comprises first and second hollow cooling bodies (21, 23) cooperatively defining a space therebetween to receive the cooling fins, and a pump (24) coupled to the second cooling body, so that the first and second cooling bodies, the pump, and the heat absorbing unit together forms a closed loop for circulation of the coolant.

摘要: A heat sink assembly includes a heat sink (80), a pair of fixing devices (40), a pair of clips (20), and a fan (90). Each clip includes a main body (24), and an operating arm (22) pivotally attached to the main body. The main body has two locking arms (246) each forming a slanted guiding portion (248) and a hook (249). Each fixing device has a top plate (42) for securing the fan thereon, and a support plate (46) for supporting the clips. A pair of tabs (49) and a pair of tongues (492) is formed at each of opposite ends of each fixing device, and defines a through hole (494) for receiving a corresponding locking arm. When the operating arm is rotated to raise the main body, the tongues guide the guiding portions and cause the hooks to tightly engage in locking holes (62) of a retention module (60).

摘要: A clip (10) for securing a heat sink (20) to an electronic chip (40) mounted on a socket (30) includes a substantially V-shaped body (11), first and a second legs (14,15) depending from respective opposite ends of the body, and a handle (17) formed at the second leg for facilitating manual operation. The body has a horizontal pressing section (12). Each leg defines a first opening (16) for engagingly receiving a respective projection (32) of the socket. The handle is integrally formed by cutting and bending material from the body and the second leg, and comprises a generally V-shaped body (171) and an operating section (172). The operating section projects out from second leg. Pressing the handle enables the second leg to be resiliently engaged with the corresponding projection of the socket.

Each heat pipe has a lower first connecting portion (32) and an upper second connecting portion (34). The heat sink includes a base (21), and parallel fins (27) attached on the base. The base includes a top plate (25), and defines a hermetically sealed chamber. Apertures (23) are defined in one side wall (22) of the base, the apertures receiving the first connecting portions. Through holes (29) are transversely defined through the fins, the through holes receiving the second connecting portions. The frame includes an upper plate (41), and two side plates (47). Two arms (49) of each side plate secures the frame on the heat sink. In operation, working liquid in the chamber transfers heat to the top plate and to the second connecting portions by phase transition.

The body includes a central pressing portion (142), and first and second spring portions (144, 154) extending from opposite ends of the pressing portion. A connecting section (156) extends outwardly and upwardly from an end of the second spring portion, and then outwardly and downwardly. The uppermost portion of the connecting section forms a ridge (168). A longitudinal slot (162) is defined in the second spring portion and the connecting section, to provide elastic deformability. The end of the connecting section forms a pair of barbs (158). The fastener has a vertical arm (170), and an operation portion (177) extending away from the arm. The arm defines an opening (175) for engaging with the connecting section of the body, thereby attaching the fastener to the body.

The legs depend from the base, and each leg has a hook (166, 186) for engaging with the heat sink. A pair of slots (20) is defined in the base on opposite sides of each leg. A pair of handles (188) extends upwardly from one pair of legs, for facilitating operation of the holder. The posts extend upwardly from the base, for being received in corresponding holes (32) of the fan. Each post has a resilient tab (142), for resiliently and firmly attaching the fan on the holder. The positioning blocks are formed under the base, on opposite sides of the vent.

A curved surface (23) may be formed between the column and the base for guiding the air flow away from the fins.

摘要: A heat sink assembly of the present invention includes a printed circuit board (10), a retention module (20), four pins (30), a heat sink (40) and a clip (50). The printed circuit board (10) has an electronic package (100) mounted thereon. The retention module (20) is integrally formed, substantially rectangular, and has a symmetrical configuration. The retention module (20) defines an opening (26) therein for surrounding the electronic package (100). Four positioning holes (28) are defined in four corners of the retention module (20). In assembly of the heat sink assembly, the pins (30) are interferentially positioned in the positioning holes (28) of the retention module (20). Portions of the pins (30) extending out beyond the retention module (20) are welded to the printed circuit board (10). The clip (50) cooperates with the retention module (20) to press the heat sink (40) against the electronic package (100).
