    Abstract: Example random access methods and apparatus are described. In one example method, a terminal device receives a system message that is sent by a network device on a first downlink carrier. The system message includes first information for performing random access on a first uplink carrier and second information for performing random access on a second uplink carrier. A frequency of the first uplink carrier is higher than a frequency of the second uplink carrier, and a frequency of the first downlink carrier is the same as the frequency of the first uplink carrier. The terminal device sends a random access request message on the first uplink carrier or on the second uplink carrier, and receives a random access response message that is sent by the network device on the first downlink carrier.

    Abstract: A first access network device sends indication information to a second access network device within a first time segment of a first subframe. The first subframe includes a second time segment and the first time segment, the second time segment is used by the first access network device to communicate with a first terminal device, the indication information includes first information, and the first information indicates a communication type of the first access network device within a first target time segment of a second subframe. The first access network device further communicats with a second terminal device or the first terminal device based on a communication type indicated by the first information within the first target time segment. The second access network device can detect a signal interference status in time, and the second access network device can use an interference coordination technology in time.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes one or more processors and a memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to receive a first wake-up signal.
